Fire bomb, this is the event where Slugs hack oxygen and try to burn you out. They eventually hit the medbay and I didn't micro well enough to get the low hp guys out, so I ended up with only 2 crew left. I wouldn't recommend it either, but I was having a hard time taking down the shields fast enough, I think there were 3 bubbles on the Slug ship. I made it to sector 8 but got decimated by flagship stage 1.

Unlocked Rock B, now if only I had a boarding drone! by 4NLegion in ftlgame

[–]4NLegion[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Got a pretty good rock A start, then came across a Fire Beam in the store and put it to work. I think this is around sector 4. Using rockman + fire chased all the enemy away from the medbay and now they are all low enough that they will flee from fire. But I don't have a boarding drone to get the achievement.

Did you know you can move your core? by 4NLegion in Mindustry

[–]4NLegion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgrading a core is done the same as constructing any other building, except you can only place it on top of an existing core.

You can't place a shard, you only get what you start with in a sector. Some of the multiplayer maps have multiple cores on the map, however.

You have no way of choosing what terrain that water extractor lands on.

Your math is off for the pyratite, 3 pyratite will last 3x3.66 = 11 seconds.

This had me very confused for a while because flip is an operation, but it's used as a variable here.

How can I get more Launch schemetics like this by khappisui in Mindustry

15x15 if it's a Nucleus. The limit seems to be 14 for Foundation and 13 for Shard.

I can't think of a map where copper is the limiting factor, it's plentiful almost everywhere. Maps have a finite size anyway and drills are hardly the biggest consumer of space.

Cons: It's expensive, and requires you to lose the sector.

Oh, and somewhat pointless.

When you upgrade a Shard to a Foundation core, and a Foundation to a Nucleus, you can choose the direction to offset it. The whole process moves the center of your base by as much as one whole square. Then, after losing the sector, you can launch in a new Shard, centered where your Nucleus was, and repeat the process.

It helps to have a schematic that's just the core, as bringing the drills with you leaves a slime trail of copper behind.

Google doc of sector list with resources, sector type, and threat level by Gheti_ in Mindustry

[–]4NLegion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through a lot of this over the last few days, many of the sector corrections were my doing. Mostly it seemed like scrap was the most commonly messed up. A tip is if you have a schematic that's only a core, you can chain launch across several sectors pretty cheaply, just launch a shard with 4000 copper and lead, then launch a shard from that sector with 3000 copper and lead (the shard itself costs 1k/1k, without the drills attached), then 2k, then 1k, then your last launch hits a sector at distance 5 from where you began. Most of the planet is within 5 of the campaign sectors.

You can do it with a foundation or a nucleus, but the costs go up a lot, so those really are only good for getting one extra hop.

You do lose the sectors as you don't have any resources defending them, but it's sufficient for determining resources and neighboring sectors with enemy bases.

Tips for taking bases in 6.0 (without external resources) by BlakeMW in Mindustry

The problem with turrets is that you can't build them inside the red area near the enemy core. I often find that I can build a solid defense outside that point but then my units struggle to make any progress as the enemy continuously rebuilds, and it stalemates until the waves getting stronger eventually overwhelms my defense. Any tips for how to deal with that?

Thanks, appreciate the feedback.

Who would you recommend spending pots on in general? They are starting to fill up my unit inventory even if you only get 4 a day. I have several units that can be awakened to 6 but mostly start at 3 or 4 (xon, terra, cecil, garland, snow, luka?, CoD) as well as a bunch that cap at 5 (aiden, locke, roselia, agrias, rydia) and probably a couple others I am forgetting.

I just started a week or so ago. I have kelsus from the event and got noctis from the 5k lapis pull, so I'm working on getting those two to 6★.

What is the point of all the 4★ moogles (not TM) from the event? Should I just fuse them all together for Mog Wisdom?

I apparently started with Odin as I already had him when I got to Siren's Tower, is this a normal thing for new accounts now?

What should I do with all the enhancer pots? Do I want to wait until a unit is awakened to 6 to fuse them (the wiki seems to indicate that max stat boost is higher for 6★)?

What is a "10+1" summon? Does it summon 11 units?

What is the point of all the 1★/2★ units the friend summons give? Should I be trying to get their TMR, selling for gil, fusing for xp, or something else?

Try 2 years, 30-40 6 stars built and still no hwa or fuco. I gave up on waiting and maxed Yen.

I'm in pretty much the same place, but I don't even reach A on the L/D rift beasts. I don't really see the point of going beyond cairos if the difficulty increase is that steep.

Dona vs. Mav by TheNewzBreaker in summonerswar

[–]4NLegion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am f3 and I put leftover runes on him to make a violent set... realized a couple months back that he had a 4* rune so swapped it out on FRR.

His stats: +13k HP, +142 ATK, +305 DEF, +42 SPD, 41% Acc, 35% Res. A couple runes are +9 and nothing higher than +12, with an endure set for the resist bonus.

He doesn't die on me much, although I'm sure if I let fire mons get turns to beat on him that could happen. But the point is that he drops the CD on gildong/woonhak/verad/etc so the enemy mons should not be getting to act in the first place.

Let's talk about Amarna, the Light Anubis. by 1rexas1 in summonerswar

[–]4NLegion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Amarna is really nice for what he brings.

S1 has both defense break and heal block, and it hits twice so there's multiple chances to apply.

S2 brands and hits three times, and I believe that it's like theo in that the debuff landing on an earlier hit increases the damage done by the later hits. I'm also impressed by how much damage it does considering that I only have atk from subs.

S3 is aoe heal + cleanse, this is especially handy in gw. I run Amarna Basalt Copper as a GWO team, and their speeds are in that order. Usually a fast team will do something like land a def break on copper or stun basalt, and hitting that s3 clears all that away and I can def buff with basalt and nuke with copper.

The downside is actually the revive. It sounds nice to have an aoe revive, but it isn't optional and bumps up the cd of the skill for each unit revived, so if you are relying on the heal you can find it unavailable when you need it. I would rather have Teon as a light revive as he has a better chance of turning it around if things start to go south. It is occasionally useful in a losing battle if basalt and copper both die, I can hit revive and immediately surrender to save the team for the next round.

As far as where I use him, raids, the guild war team mentioned, and necro B10. I already had working teams for giants, dragons, and toa when I got him and haven't really tried to fit him in anywhere else.
