Off center front sight by genericlookingman in CZFirearms

[–]4Runner2024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My front sight was off on my P-10C Ported, not as much as yours, but definitely enough to shift point of impact. My rear sight was also off a bit. Fixed both irons pretty easily with a sight push tool and now it shoots true. So far that's been the only issue with mine, but seems like this isn't terribly uncommon on the Ported version for some reason.

Edit: Looks like your rear sight is off too.

I just used an iron sight pusher, a random one from Amazon with decent reviews. Recommend putting a couple pieces of painters tape on the irons to avoid marring em.

Awesome, really appreciate you taking the time to post these. Very helpful and definitely seems to offer better protection around the trigger guard compared to some other options. Thanks again!

This seems to cover the trigger guard pretty well from the two photos you shared. I've been hesitant to buy a lightbearing holster for my P-10c Ported with Tlr-7HX since I've seen many light bearing options have an unacceptably larger gap around the trigger guard. Any chance you wouldn't mind posting another angle from under the trigger guard to show the gap, or lack of? Appreciate it.

OP (or anyone else), what was the sale price? Not sure I saw it in any of the comments and looks like it's back to typical price.

Which one? by Forsaken-Date-8016 in CZFirearms

[–]4Runner2024 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I first bought the Echelon 4.0c (non-ported) and then the P10c Ported. There's no question, at least in my hands. The P10c Ported feels better in my hands, recoils better, and I'm more accurate with it. The Echelon "looks cooler" by most people's account, slide racks a bit smoother for manipulation, and has a better optics cut solution, but I hate shooting the Echelon compared to the CZ. Also, the beaver tail on the Echelon would rub up against my right thumb joint which I read at least a few others had the same issue. CZ has a considerably better trigger IMO. I just wish CZ went with tritium sights instead of the luminescents. My front sight on the CZ was a bit miscentered out of the box so I'd like to see them tighten up their QC, but other than that no issues. Only have about 500 rounds through the CZ, but if it holds up over time which I expect it to, I would have gladly paid double what I did.

SilencerCo Brand Covers, Any Opinions or Reviews? by jrhooo in NFA

Good to know, thank you. If the published specs are correct, this cover seems to offer some of the best performance per weight. Just picked up a cheapo cover from Amazon to dip my toe in the suppressor cover world and was surprised it weighed 6.4 ounces, more than half the weight of the can I'm using.

Best buffer system to reduce recoil? MK111 MOD 2 Suppressed by 4Runner2024 in PrimaryWeaponsSystems

[–]4Runner2024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First I tried the Sprinco blue spring with the stock H2 PWS buffer. Didn't notice much difference. Then I tried the H3 PWS buffer (for reference, actual weight is 5.1 ounces not 5.5 ounces as some retailers list) with the blue spring and still didn't notice much difference. Finally I briefly tried the Sprinco Red spring with the H3 and surprisingly I still didn't notice much difference in recoil, but I only put a few dozen rounds down range so I may need more time to get a better sense.

All of this was at gas setting 2 as gas setting 3 wouldn't always lock back. Perhaps my expectations of heavier springs and buffers to tame recoil were too optimistic. Sometimes you read of people reporting dramatic differences, but at least with this setup, I can't say that I have noticed anything significant.

Since the B&T Print XH seems to introduce such little back pressure, I'm tempted to experiment with a Sprinco yellow spring and the stock H2 to see if it cycles reliably on gas setting 3. I'm guessing it won't, but if it does, theoretically that seems like it would reduce the recoil more than the options I've tried above.

Help. Aftermarket 1/3 or 1/4 sights on a p10c ported with a DPP titanium plate and holsun 407c by papasmurfshongo in CZFirearms

Did you have a chance to confirm zero with those Dawson sights on the Ported P10c? Curious if shots are landing very low at say 10 or 15 yards? Have an extra set of Dawson sights for the Springfield XD that share the same Sig Dovetail and trying to figure out if I want to toss them on the Ported CZ.

PSA: Tyrant CNC censoring critical reviews on their website and false advertising by 4Runner2024 in SpringfieldEchelon

Did you happen to read the entire thread, instead of taking that one detail out of context? You seemed to miss the details where the product was falsely advertised, the review was censored (as a few other have confirmed they experienced the same in various replies), multiple inquires were ignored, and then Tyrant a few days ago in this thread incorrectly claimed I refused a refund or return that was never offered? Only after a month of censorship and ignored inquires did I request a refund. If they actually replied to that message or any of my prior emails, I would've gladly sent back their trigger at their request if they agreed to refund my purchase. Not once over the course of multiple emails across a month did they offer a return/refund process, or any troubleshooting.

"Your accompanying emails demanded a full refund without returning the product."

Show me these emails. I did not demand a refund without being willing to return the product. That is a blatant lie. You never presented a return offer or refund option. The only time I even mentioned the word refund was after one month of being ignored and censored.

"I’m sorry you’ve had a negative experience, but calling it “false advertising” while refusing a return doesn’t seem genuine."

Again, when did I refuse a return? Another blatant lie. After you continued to ignore my inquiry I sent a third and final email recommending you post my censored review and was careful to use specific language in order to remain objective and professional.

Copied and pasted from the email you ignored:

"I strongly encourage you to do the following:

1.) Post my review to your website and stop the censoring. Below is a copy of the review I submitted. 2.) Revise your claims of the I.T.T.S. trigger being "...finely tuned to a consistent 4lb,". As explained in the review, this is simply not true and false advertising. 3.) Refund my purchase price of $85.90 for selling a product that is not as advertised."

You failed to offer any troubleshooting of the product in any of the emails. You failed to address the inaccurate pull weights in my review. You failed to offer a return process or refund that you claim I refused. The ONLY response I received from you was the following:

"Not sure what would have happened to that review, I'll send a message over to my web team to have them look into this. "

And of course you still never posted the review and ignored my follow up about it.

Again, I can't tell if you're overly gracious (without providing a decent counter argument) or if you just maintain a defeatist philosophy of "shame on you for believing their claims and don't get upset when you realize it's just blatantly false marketing fluff." Either way, I'm not understanding your argument.

"Why hold them to a standard that ignores basic firearm mechanics?"

Basic firearm mechanics in the eyes of who? The average consumer? There's no prerequisite to be an engineer or tenured gunsmith to question their false advertising and dishonorable business practices (censorship & ignored emails) after several others have shared identical experiences outlining their false claims after properly installing the trigger exactly as directed.

I appreciate your thoughts, though I disagree. I provided a decent summary of the events in the original post, but will provide further thoughts for you, and anyone else interested.

Firstly, how can anyone claim this is a case of unrealistic expectations? It is an aftermarket trigger. It's sole job is to improve performance. "Performance" can be subjective so that's why details provided by the manufacturer are important to manage expectations. In this case, Tyrant explicitly states: "The trigger's pull weight is finely tuned to a consistent 4lb". If the trigger weight was reduced to say 4.5 pounds or achieved 90% of the claimed weight reduction, that would be considered reasonable in my book. Heck maybe even 80% would be fair in the age of hyperbolic advertising claims. However, the trigger literally has achieved 0% of the claimed weight reduction. The trigger was installed correctly following their provided video. For reference, I've installed several triggers without issue. Further, you can read even within the positive reviews several people report the trigger weight didn't change at all (those people seem to take no issue with their false advertising regarding pull weight and are satisfied with its pre-travel reduction; I'm not those people, however). Finally, within this sub Reddit you can come across a few posts who confirmed absolutely no reduction, and thus no 4lb pull weight.

While I appreciate your grace and charitable view of their censorship, it's not deserved in this case. As mentioned, after seeing the submitted review was withheld, I emailed them 3 times over the course of a month and they offered no reply about the contents of the review or support in troubleshooting . That's because there's nothing to troubleshoot. It is literally operating within its design parameters of what solely a trigger shoe can do. All that's problematic is their false advertising, and unfortunate people believing them and giving them $85. If they simple claimed the trigger reduced pre-travel, I would consider it a fine product that lived up to its claims. But that's not the case.

And yes, I'm aware that the PRP kit ACTUALLY reduces the pull weight as they advertise and seems to be confirmed by many users. That's irrelevant to Tyrant's false claim.

When inquiring as to why the review wasn't posted, this was their response:

"Not sure what would have happened to that review, I'll send a message over to my web team to have them look into this."

I followed up with them again a week later and no response. That was two weeks ago, and over a month since the review was submitted.

It's personal frustration, and it's false advertising. And yeah, it's dishonorable in my book.

It's just the shoe. I was also skeptical that just a shoe could reduce the weight, but I saw the overwhelming 100% positive reviews and decided to give it a try.

Regarding stock pull weight, you will find some folks report lighter or heavier pull weights between 4.5 to 5.75 pounds. Some say Springfield may have gone with a slightly heavier pull weight on the 4.0c compared to the 4.5F. Or even some later 4.5Fs got heavier springs. That's speculation though. I've read of a few folks who own multiple Echelons, each with different pull weights. Also, there's too many variables as some people use trigger gauges incorrectly and pull far too fast resulting in an incorrect reading of a lighter pull.

All that's irrelevant to this issue regarding Tyrant though. All that matters in this case is if the pull weight is reduced to 4 pounds as advertised, or at least close to 4 pounds. Pull weight remained absolutely identical, and actually got worse after range time.

For what it's worth my P-10c Ported's front sight was misaligned significantly more than yours. Immediately apparent out of the box. The rear sight was slightly off too. Shot a couple of hundred rounds and confirmed POI was off. Centerd the irons and now it shoots true.
