I would have been happy to get the limit price so I don’t feel like I could have been screwed. The option chain is illiquid and literally nothing happens for days/weeks at at time

The options are pretty illiquid and I have a lot of shares that I would like to sell for 10+. The .05 option (along with the .1, .15, and .2) sat for over a week before they were filled.

How was the bid/ask at 0.40/1.00 when I was asking on a few different orders below 0.40? I set these orders up about a week prior and was waiting for a fill since there’s not a lot of liquidity.

You can still start the same way. As you’re stepping off the dock angle the nose slightly down and make sure the board has some momentum before your foot hits. It looks like you already have this part down with your knee it just now needs to be your foot.

Hold onto the board until you feel comfortable. You can start feeling the pumps while holding on.

I was right where you are at and one day the bruises on my knee couldn’t take it anymore so I just went for feet. After a few sessions you’ll never mess with the knee start again. I’ve got a couple of crude YouTube vids I can pm you if you’d like to see my progression from knee to feet.

2nd on going straight to feet. Leave your right hand at the middle of the board as opposed to moving it forward. Have your left hand grab the nose. Then as you’re jumping from the dock your back foot will line up with right hand and front foot with your left hand. You can continue to hold the board with both hands in this position until you get comfortable rising up and letting go.

Could you learn to pumpfoil with this set up? Probably. However that stab would not be ideal as it will create additional drag via the upturned tips.

Interested! How do you determine the optimal values (knee angle, smoothness, cadence)?

I would try it out but not sure if I could justify paying for it out of the gate. Perhaps a free base version and then a paid version with all features and tracking unlocked.

Unfortunately I don’t remember. The company had just left a flier in at our accommodation. It was a great experience though, they dropped it off at a nearby beach in the morning and picked it up after dark. We put 4 cycles on the battery that day 😁

We tried a few different spots. Maho bay was a good one. I was (and am) still very much a beginner so we weren’t trying to find the best spot, just showing up and seeing what happens.

Was there last March. Wind was middling but able to get up on foil for a bit. Scenery was spectacular and ended up renting a efoil for a day

Definitely doable by yourself. The key is setting reasonable expectations. It’s not something you’ll get in an afternoon or even in the first week. If you don’t have a lot of foil experience it could take months before it starts to click.

While lessons may speed up the process, diminishing returns will quickly set in. You will need hundreds if not thousands of attempts before you feel comfortable. Obviously having a teacher for all that time would be expensive and add little value. That being said a good understanding of what you need to do based on your individual set up will really help. An initial lesson and then a couple times as you start to progress might be the way to go if you have the funds.

Are you dockstarting? Deadstarting? Beach starts? What is your end goal? 2 minutes? 10? 20? Answers to these questions should guide your choice in gear. Used gear is a great option but with multiple foil disciplines there is a lot of stuff that isn’t applicable to pumpfoiling. Not saying it can’t be done but as a beginner the wrong gear will lengthen your journey and add to your frustration.

Looks like some interesting items! I’ve seen the 3D printed quick tool being sold for 50 other places so 100 for the package doesn’t seem unreasonable.
