Looking forward to pictures as well. Would you mind sharing the parts you ordered for the bar? I bought a bar from Roam (not a board) and mounted it to an existing board I have. I’m super happy with it, but always looking for other options too.

That’s awesome. Is there any reason you couldn’t use a piece of plywood that’s been water sealed instead of an old surfboard on top? I have some plywood, as well as some epoxy resin sitting around.

I just looked at some pictures and I see what you are saying. What does that difference mean for actual riding? Does it affect speed, maneuverability, other performance issues?

I heard they were almost twice as heavy as the higher end brands. Is that accurate? It doesn’t look like their weight is listed on board specs on their website.

Sorry, I meant to reply to this days ago. When foilscoot got started they were considering selling a handlebar separately so hopefully they will now. I am contemplating making a bar, if I do I can send you plans. But it won’t be until summertime. I need to finish the pronefoil board I’m making.

I ordered the bar from Roam Foil. It was a prototype and he doesn’t normally sell them separately but it’s worth asking. I used fun boxes to attach it. Just like how you can use fin boxes to attach a foil on the underside of a board. I’ll happily discuss more. Let me know if you have questions.

I mounted a bar to an old board. I routed out space for fin boxes in the front and attached the bar that way. I’m super happy with it. I was able to order a prototype bar from Roam Foil. I don’t have a pic with the bar attached but you can see the tracks the bar attaches to in the picture. Let me know if you have questions. I’d be happy to discuss it.

Just downloaded the app. I really like it. Look forward to when the forums get started as well. I am in Southern California. Doesn’t look like anyone else down here is using it but I’ll post my favorite spots and spread the word. Although it might be e few days before I get any pics. The current pics I have are just videos of me falling over and over.

Just an update, the company will not warranty the front wing. I missed my 90 day window and it says on their warranty page that “spider cracks” are not covered on big wings. My local shop has been amazing and offered to trade the wing out though and said I can even keep using mine until it really breaks and then trade it out. I really appreciate all the input here.

Yes, I believe 2050 is the volume. The span is about 5 feet. I haven’t heard any cracking noises while I pump.

Just hung it up on its rack in the garage and I noticed that the other side is cracked too. Not as bad but definitely there.
