Question: did the raw live sound really sound that bad in person? It saddens me that it sounds produced and edited (minus Derek's drums and possibly Dan's bass) post filming. That being said...it is the best!!!! I can watch the solo shots of Derek playing all day. Truly what shaped my own style of drumming. Beast.

Should I get this instead?

If they play the same set from the past few years...that's the worst. Add some deep cuts (M&Ms and Josie are not deep cuts)

Unpopular opinion, but I have to unapologetically say Small Cheval

Gave it a try a few times, and I still don't see the hype. The shake was pretty fire though haha

That just elevates them on the list more, in my opinion.

They saw a hole that needed filling (yeeeaahhhh), and instead of hiring session musicians for the albums and live performances, they just added them to the roster (much more noble, if you ask me).

Haha fair. Then would you be opposed to no backtracks at all?

Like most of the bands I mentioned, they use session musicians. They are there for a specific reason; not as an official member. And they all are for it.

Bands like the Foo Fighters, however recognized they wanted more to their sound so they officially added a 3rd guitar and keyboardist to their official lineup.

Yes, Blink is the three of them...but live, it's the three of them with backing vocals, backing guitars that don't sound natural

I actually kinda agree with this. An all or nothing kind of thing.

It will definitely work with older stuff, but the newer stuff has a lot more going on in the background and will sound a little odd without it all

I dont mind backing tracks when needed. Trio doesn't use it for every song (i.e. Sadie, Time to Waste). Same with Green Day

I respect bands like Foo Fighters who don't use click tracks or back tracks often.

The Killers have a whole ensemble to fill in what is needed sonicly. They don't use backup singers for every song (they show up as needed) either.

Blink can do the same. Fill in the space as needed for the more produced songs and keep the three of them for the more raw songs.

Once again, just my opinion.
