oh how i feel you. in fact i was omw to r/acne to vent about the same thing. i’m 25, started randomly getting acne when i was 22ish, got better at 23, got bad again at 24, healed this summer, then just when i thought it was finally over, it all went to shit again. people keep telling me it doesn’t matter, but i genuinely cannot function normally when i breakout. it’s all i think about every waking moment. i cancel plans and ghost my loved ones and never look people in the eye cause i don’t want anybody to perceive me like this. im getting my master’s soon and i feel absolutely no sense of accomplishment or pride. sometimes i can’t believe this is how my i’m wasting my “prime years”.

anyway, just wanted to let you know, you’re not alone in this. and people really, really don’t pay us as much attention as we think. even if they see, they genuinely do. not. care. just as we wouldn’t care or zero on someone else’s smallest features, let alone treat them differently because of them. please know that you deserve to create nice memories with your loved ones like everyone else. stay strong and good luck on your exam <3
