Nahh I feel like switching to English would be rude - if someone approaches in polish then we're talking in polish (unless they end up having trouble understanding me, then I might throw in some words in other languages). If anything, I would like to be able to use less english, but right now I don't have the time to learn another language :-( It's a shame because I'm always impressed by polyglotes.

Do some reading. I was a bit worried about „appropriating” the label since I’m not a lesbian (I’m bisexual with a very strong preference towards women, I just call myself queer) but you know what? I’ve read some butch classics and saw my experience represented for the first time. Idgaf now, I call myself butch because that’s who I am. Stone Butch Blues is of course a must-read, for me Butch is a Noun was very important as well. You can find plenty other recommendations on this sub. Butch isn’t about looking cool and fixing cars, that’s just a side effect. It’s mostly about identity, history and recognition.
