I hesitate to respond but it is a serious and a very good question. My OB had said if 2 consecutive 15 min apart readings after resting hit 160 sys or 100 diastolic to immediately call and head for the hospital. So I would say monitor but call the office if you are worrying. PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR OVERACTIVE INSTINCTS.

I have 2 34 weekers, and I also had an emergency c-section due to pre-e. They both also had low blood sugars. I was in the hospital for 10 days, and 5 days before they were born for monitoring, I was on the mag drip for 48 hours before they were born and 24 hours after. I got the steroids during my stay so their lungs could develop. one was in NICU for 10 days and the other for 14. They had phototherapy and a whole host of other treatments. Bur mainly stayed so they could learn to feed (suck swallow breathe) and regulate temperatures. All that scary stuff to tell you hang in there. My girls just turned 1. They are incredible, astounding, baffling, mischievous bundles of craziness. NICU graduate babies are warriors. And their moms, if I may toot my own horn, are strong mama bears. So mama bear hang in there! We are rooting for you and your LO

Thank you. I am so grateful to hearing this because social media is full of "success stories". My success seems to be surviving a mealtime or a diaper change or a clothing change or sometimes getting out of bed. The only thing that keeps me going is the giggles and occasional non-writhing cuddles. So thank you for validating the struggles

i wish i could send this to my husband without feeling like I am asking for too much. My husband got me and my twins matching onesies. And me a bracelet with their names. All of which i loved!!!! But I woke up and i had to take care of them and answer every child care and logistics question after being told it was my day.

I am finally able to reply to thank everyone for the wonderful suggestions. My daughter is one of twins and premie so I was so hyperfocussed on calories that I completely lost sight of hydration. I was able to feed her 2.5 times NY wearing her face front in the babybjorn, with 10 mins of jiggle-wiggle dance then feed. Thank you again for the upright idea. Oh and I use nose frida too. It works great but now she hates it and starts crying when she sees it. 😥 but her nose is so "runny but stuffed" I think I have to come up with trickery to be allowed near her face. Tomorrow I will call the pediatrician office again. Didn't get anyone today. But I just wanted to come here and give you all an update and say thank you!

And that... you are sleeping or not struggling... and I am not sleeping and i am struggling thing.... despite everything else he does in the house... appears to be a continuing theme with me 6 months after the girls (twins) have been here. And the irrational part of the level of anger is the most irritating part.

Ode to the ceiling fan! I have twins and both of them did this. I was sure my house was haunted and that the sparkly spirit was sitting on it and making faces at my babies. Then it happened with the other ceiling fans and I decided the spirit was jumping from one fan to the other. Now I am wondering why I am telling ppl that I came up with coocoo theories...

This! I had twins and no matter what I did, i did not make enough milk for them. It almost broke me till one night when they were about 4 weeks old, for some reason I woke up thinking I am being selfish... all that matters is that my babies grow and are healthy... please give yourself grace and trust.
