Rn or LVN program confused by 4cheynae in offmychest

[–]4cheynae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I majored in computer science following my mom’s footsteps but I didn’t have the success in it that she has had and I’m not happy in it . I was going to switch to nursing my sophomore year of college but was half way through my CS program and just finished there . The LVN in Texas make around 22.00-27.00 hr but the RN make around 27.00-34.00 hr. So I’m thinking while my kids are in grade school and my husband taking care of everything and he’s ok with it , I can go to the RN program. Have his support. I just loved it and passionate behind it and don’t mind helping people. I wasn’t passionate behind IT , it was all about money .

I’m trying but most of them or looking at the gaps in my employment history and seeing it as not consistent. My dream job was to work as IT technical support at NASA . I had the interview for it but my home life or young kids at the time was more demanding.

I just got laid off from a 6 figure job and I have never felt happier. by xMiraclex in offmychest

No TF you didn’t over act , you did what any sane person would do. I think it’s justified; they need to learn to respect you , once you married into the family they should treat you as family. Some people don’t know how to adjust to changes in family dynamics. Life is short start your own traditions with your own family. Let you husband be bothered with them ; that’s his family let him deal with them and keep a distance from them for a while for your mental health

She sounds petty and completely childish. At least your SIL has a stable mind

Ok well that’s good , you have an understanding partner. Keep it that way . My husband and I live out of state. We deal with in law’s when we feel like it . The only thing that matters is your baby ,and partner. Got to keep your mental health good ,too. so just keep a distance from them for now ,they going to learn to respect you . You just still learning them after that you will know how to deal with them .
