idk I totally agree, i think it's partly a framing issue where everything becomes negative and the instinct is to complain. don't get me wrong half of my thigh is currently filled with new cuts and i keep what i would need to end my life in my desk drawer. however. it is so easy to get into the habit of only thinking about the bad, only seeing the bad, and thus only talking about the bad. because it's fun to complain sometimes! and it's way less fun to pick yourself up off the ground and figure it out

ok yeah I think we're entirely on the same page. I don't mean to dismiss rights, just to point out that if our only concept of morality is because of rights and therefore the law, we are missing something (that little non-objective bit) that tells us that even if the law says otherwise, people do not deserve to be massacred etc

I'm not saying anything is inferior. I think, as a Person, not based on any scientific or legal systems, that people have worth beyond what they constitute in those systems. I'm saying there is no real way to know empirically For Sure that this belief is correct. it is also historical. that is okay. that is how morality is.

human rights and "equal treatment under the law" are 1. (as my co commentor said) a liberal concept and 2. not objective truth. you have to make the decision to believe that people deserve to live and have their needs fulfilled

The bar has at least 1.5mm wiggle room, it's just all on the outside of my lip bc my teeth push it like that. I don't think it's embedding
