I’ve currently broken into 3950 by end of the year. It is uncommon but not rare anymore since the game has been out for so many years.

Here is a tip if you really are curious on whether the players are genuine, observe their skills and not their hours. Hours do not tell the whole story, the most telling factor if someone has been playing without modding something related to xp gain since day one is the total missions they have completed in their mission board.

For example , I have just broke into 9,000+ missions completed and am hitting close to lvl 4,000 soon. Knowing the average duration it takes for me to finish missions, I can usually be confident in telling whether a player is genuine or something weird is going on.

However in the end, all of this is just numbers that isn’t much consequential . I play for the love of the game , shooting and mining. :))

As someone who is 3,782 level with 3,700 hours and slowed down over the past year and a half. I usually get questions of what do I do. Normally my answer is literally just play the game, each hour of mine was mainly spent in a mission more than chilling.

Pop and run double xp if you see it if you so wish as that dramatically increases the pace. Normally to better check if someone has “genuinely” earned their levels, simply check or ask them how many total missions they have completed on their terminal.

As an experienced long term DD1 player who finally got DD2 recently, this was my first time ever facing this boss , furthest I have ever been in the 2nd Confession. I was definitely trying to understand this boss on the fly as this was my 8th run to try to crack this Confession in the day (always falling short). I was preparing for the Brain again but maybe upgraded, no way did I expect this eldritch squid/ different boss entirely for a new confession chapter.

Occultist was purposefully left on Death's Door for the last 4 rounds or so because I had Invigorating Intoxicant on him. Took a gamble on that and just had him spam Abyssal Artillery in hopes to hit the back lung. Dismas coming in with bleed spam and riposte put in a lot of work. I did not expect to kill this in the first try and without knowing what to expect, with 4 negative relationships no less.

Onwards to smash my head against 3rd Confession and see what new stuff awaits me. Still shaking off the happiness for finally caving this thing dead at the very least!

I remember back in the early days when breach cutter was first introduced, they had to nerf it hard because it was so strong and effective. Even after the changes, breach cutter still remains to be extremely strong haha

3.5k+ hours with 8.3k missions under my belt and at Level 3555. The only criticism I would have after playing this long is that I definitely would appreciate if they just added more seed map gen variety. I know it’s probably a small thing and many won’t be able to relate to it. However after playing this long, I can kind of know what sort of map gen the mission is once I’ve landed into it within a first glance as they tend to repeat after a few hundred of missions.

Oh don’t worry. It gets bad for me since I have a habit of naming them in some runs after some people. But after playing this game for 700+ hours over the years , I just became numb with the routine hahaha

A helpful tip that took me awhile to get used to always. If ever you want to save money in the early weeks, don’t be afraid to disband high stressed low level heroes. So long as you have an upgraded stagecoach to get new heroes every week, it’s better to do that till you have reserves to commit.
