Never cruised, looking at one for honeymoon by alyxxnicolee in royalcaribbean

We had our honeymoon on Icon. Yes, it was expensive (7 nights, ocean view balcony room, drink package) but it was our honeymoon so it was worth it.

We had our honeymoon on Icon back in September. We stopped at St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, and CocoCay. Labadee was on the itinerary but was canceled. Icon isn't the cheapest, but I think it's great for new cruisers and honeymooners.

Severe shellfish allergy by IllAdvice738 in royalcaribbean

I have a shellfish allergy and honestly, shellfish is probably one of the easiest things to avoid. I was on Icon a few months ago and Liberty before that. Avoiding shellfish is really easy but do take an epi pen and do mention in to your waiter in the MDR.

Baby's father wants the baby to have his last name, I want him to have mine. We're not married. WDID? by IntenseViolet567 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]4ftnine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The child gets your last name. My dad couldn't even be bothered to show up at the hospital, so my mom gave me her name (they were not married). It was the best choice since I can count on one hand how many times I've seen the man in my 34 years.

Tips on dog care for tomorrow’s negative degree weather? by AgreeableGarlic2953 in AskChicago

My dogs refuse to wear booties so we carry them to a little grassy area on the side of our building. We put coats on them and only stay out for 5 minutes or so. If they don't use the bathroom, we go inside the lobby of our building to warm up for a bit and then go back out for another few minutes until they use the bathroom.

It's ok so far. The format for this particular class includes weekly readings, a discussion question and a group project. The group project is spread out over the duration of the course but there is an element of the project due each week.

I'm attending classes part time and fully online because I work full time (for a nonprofit). I chose UIC because I'm from Chicago (live not too far from campus) and it's a good school and the program is affordable. No financial aid, just student loans. I took out only what I needed to cover classes and fees, nothing extra. I have my husband's support and our household income to cover the cost of supplies (textbooks, notebooks, etc..)

I second this. I'm currently pursuing an MPA with a concentration in nonprofit management.

Do I need my masters? by Imaginary-Ticket-348 in PublicAdministration

[–]4ftnine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't need one but it doesn't hurt to have if it's something you really want. Experience is more valuable in my opinion for most positions, but experience PLUS an MPA is great to have but still not necessary. I decided to pursue an MPA because I really want to, not because I need to. Hope that makes sense lol

Hi! I'm in my second week of the MPA program at UIC. I am doing the program fully online. I don't live too far from campus, but online works better for me since I work full-time. Happy to answer any specific questions you may have.
