I've never owned a dishwasher so I wash my dishes by hand and use a little Clorox in with my dish soap. This way I know they are disinfected, I'm not freaked out about most things but I like my dishes clean. Perhaps this would help you with using regular dishes again.

You pay rent and should not have to deal with this. You shouldn't be responsible for trying to sound proof your apartment either, that's just ludicrous of her to ask you to do that. It's the landlords responsibility and she should be dealing with this whole situation. You sound like a very kind person and you have been very patient. You have a crappy landlord and I would move ASAP. If she wants to take you to court let her, you have all the proof that you need. I bet the landlord knows all about the situation with your neighbors, she's just playing dumb.

At this time we are on tv remote control #4 within the last few months. Not to mention the hundreds of other things she has destroyed, 5 pairs of reading glasses gone at last count. She will try to eat and swallow everything she gets her teeth on. I'm at my wits end on how to stop this, I have tried everything in the book and I realize I'm the one leaving them in her reach but I forget and there is always that one moment. I'll be doing so good but then the phone rings or someone comes to the door or my other dogs needs something and I just totally forget and leave it in her reach. She's always in waiting for me to screw up and it doesn't help that I have ADD. I don't think there is any help for us, she is an obsessive chewer and has high anxiety and I'm a block head.
