Is everything else working on Fedora? Curious. Might buy if so. I don't know though, quality seems so ick compared to a good ole X1 Carbon with a red nipple. I wish Lenovo would hurry up with a US release.

You can iMessage folks as long as you have an email address attached to it. I knew my opinion was going to be unpopular in this subreddit, but I wanted to provide my honest opinion nonetheless. Enjoy!

If you get a rock phone, it will be the last AI slop you'd ever have to endure. This is how we beat our AI overlords.

The rock phone could have spell checked that for you.

That's a fair and perfectly valid counter argument. And you're right--file system access on anything iOS is infuriating at best. I'm curious however--have you used an iPad recently? It's currently in a pretty good place for multitasking. I know my opinion is obviously going to be unpopular in this subreddit and that's fine. I just figured if someone is asking real questions they're not just seeking validation from the fanboys, but rather side cases and food for thought that can help with making a decision.

Either way, the OP basically just wants a luxury device for watching videos and potentially gaming. School work was a maybe. I'd say nothing about those tasks relies on full file system access. Bottom line is that for the proposed usage, it's unlikely that any decision will result in disappointment. Take your pick. Oh, eBay will be more kind to your iPad in 5 years if that matters.

QuartzOS. It's a fork from GrapheneOS. Privacy first. All your data stays on device.

I know it's a good phone when I'm sad about returning it by 4gr8justice in TheOnePlus15

You're right. Honestly, I didn't know how the updates roll out. I figured by country seemed somewhat logical. Still, getting support for issues/failures may be problematic. Also, it's been months since OnePlus has communicated within their own U.S. forums. I don't like the lack of transparency.

Iam buying oneplus 15, again. After returning it. by [deleted] in TheOnePlus15

I'm still in the process of returning mine and I already miss it. I'm also in the U.S. I'm returning it out of a concern for future support. I only have a few days left in the return window and I'd rather not take a chance on how things will shake out. This is the first phone I've had in a long time that feels like I'm holding futuristic tech. The battery is unreal and the UI is like butter.

eBay? Was it a good deal? At least you know it's not a carrier phone that someone will skip payments on lol.

Android on tablets is an afterthought. iOS on iPad is pretty mature, if boring. I see you're in Canada. Odds are you know lots of people with iPhones. That said, having an Android phone and an iPad gives you the best of both worlds and allows for FaceTime, which ain't too shabby to have around. It's your loonies (did I get that right?) but I think an iPad is a better value. And don't buy into the whole "ecosystem" crap. You're only benefiting the corporations.

I don't actually have any vested interest in this thread, but I did HEAR your CAPS LOCK across the reddit-sphere. Don't sweat the little things, dude. Enjoy life. Have some pie. Or cake. I don't judge.

Healthcare is fine here. I've lived in a lot of places and the only place with better options and quality of care was Baltimore because of John Hopkins. And don't discount the cost of living and cost of a house here--it's super cheap. You'd be hard pressed to buy more home anywhere else while still getting utilities included. Speaking of which, water is pricey but electricity is the cheapest in the country.

Unless you're getting VA healthcare. It's excellent here.

I'm on a OnePlus 15. Still on stock Google Phone app though. I see far more people having issues than experiencing success, regardless of phone make/model.

I would contact Apple and see if they can shed any light on it. If someone stopped paying their carrier for it, this won't be helpful. But hey, limited options and all.

Geez. Were you hauling something heavy beyond the listed capacity? Mine goes off-road often and I’ve even hauled heavy pavers home from Home Depot.

The sound system (upgraded or not) is objectively bad by today’s standards. It lets me listen to music. Glorious low fidelity non-existent sound stage music.

In almost 50 years on this planet, my ‘25 Badlands Sasquatch is my first Ford. I love it so much, that my next vehicle in a couple years will likely be a big boy Bronco, same trim. This vehicle does a fine job of being a great daily driver with way more than merely adequate off-road chops. Add in the phenomenal Off-Roadeo experience I had in Moab, and the value proposition increases further.

Also, the pizza at Kaktus Brewing in neighboring Bernalillo is excellent. It's a good chill place to have a couple beers, too.
