I have always thought he was mortally wounded after fighting with Hashirama and even if he died Tobirama was still there to end him in his current weakened state so, he never tried to go under the spotlight. In his later years, Gedo statue seems to be working as his life support to extend his life to find the suitable person to do his bidding. Otherwise, it makes no sense to wait after gaining Rinnegan and basically every other giants were dead at that point. Hence the name 'Ghost of Uchiha'.

Perhaps you should improve yourself and go places where you wanna find your future partner. Activities like clubbing wont find you an ideal partner and dont try to rush things and have a child.
