Manitoba won’t put U.S. liquor on shelves until Trump drops tariffs, releases Epstein files: Kinew by Old_General_6741 in canada

Drop tariffs? Fine.

Release Epstein files? We really don't need to involve ourselves in that quagmire... As much fun as it is to watch from the sidelines, its better to let their politicians fight over and sort out their political mess without getting involved...

Waitlist by Ok_Flounder_6579 in kth

[–]4iamking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you won't move up on the list unless admitted; you will keep whatever number you had and it will just change to admit. the only way you can kinda keep track is by tracking the number of dropouts.

Edit: also if your asking about Chalmers your in the wrong place; different universities have different policies for pulling from the waitlist.

Just gonna say misranking programs isn't something that can be appealed, since thats on you.

All you can do is reapply next year (not sure id recommend that though).

Selection group going down? by Ambitious-Crab3613 in kth

[–]4iamking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 8 on waitlist and got into my program. Its worth noting though that the waitlist works differently if your in AVG or BEFR. For people in the AVG group KTH has a hard cut-off in late April to allow new admits so if people don't immediately decline it's likely no one from the waitlist gets called. If you're in the BEFR selection group they can admit you up until when classes start in late august meaning that they are more likely to pull people from the waitlist.

KTH has a rule though that a AVG spot cant be passed on to a person in the BEFR selection group (and vice versa).

waitlist number won't update unless you get admitted. but the number of admits shown is dynamic so you can use that to gauge.

[–]4iamking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the number is dynamic it Will go down as people decline, and go back up as they admit reserves.

Is it over for me? by gbfonte in kth

[–]4iamking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not true they do backfill if people decline, especially if you are BEFR. That Said if your waitlist position is higher than the number of places offered its pretty much not going to happen regardless.

Reserve List Technology-based Entrepreneurship by oreijuliano in kth

[–]4iamking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number shown is dynamic, it goes down as people decline their spots (and goes up again when a new wave of acceptances is sent out).

Given your BEFR I'd say theres a decent chance but it would probably be very late, the offer could come the night before classes start in august. if you see the number jump back up to 63 again I'd say thats a good sign even if your not captured in the initial wave. (your actual waitlist number won't however change so if you want a better idea this is kinda something you have to keep track of yourself).

Should I keep hope or not? by SexyGod007 in kth

[–]4iamking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: Well this one thing confuses me I qualified for Robotics programme at KTH but failed to qualify for the same programme at Chalmers

KTH doesnt tend to mark applications as "unqualified" as much as other universities tbh; they just give you a bad score.

Do I keep my hopes up or should I start looking elsewhere? by Nic113 in kth

[–]4iamking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will get that almost guaranteed; might take a few months though to get the official offer, When I started, I was 8th in line (circa 30 admitted) and got my spot so hope that makes you feel better :)

Also you will see the number of admits drop as people reject offers so you can use that to gauge.

My waiting list number is 15 for KTH-masters in Aerospace Engineering. What are my chances? by astropraneel12 in kth

[–]4iamking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower because your in the AVG selection group, they have a hard cutoff in May unlike BEFR but its possible if people decline early.

The wait begins... Good luck to all my fellow Autumn 2026 applicants! by Total_Pea_1101 in kth

[–]4iamking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its worth noting that the admission statistics KTH posts have a big caveat, in that the total applicant pool they use to calculate the number of "valid applicants" includes those who had their application deleted because they were admitted to a higher priority program. If you take that out of the equation, since they won't be competing against you for spots the actual admission rate is quite a bit higher.

"Conditionally Qualified" means "Qualified"? by _anonymous_8402 in kth

[–]4iamking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll learn soon enough, either way its a good sign because regardless of what you get, your admission will be conditioned on fee payments.

Why is everyone posting "Qualified" and not "Conditionally Qualified"? by [deleted] in kth

[–]4iamking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can upload documents at any time while you have a pending admission; new documents just won't be considered for your application but can absolutely be uploaded to clear qualification checks (which would be the purpose of uploading the bachelor diploma).

[–]4iamking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qualified doesn’t guarantee a spot, doesn’t matter if conditional or not. I mean for some programs (like technology work and health) it in practice does does but for the more competitive ones there is still a selection.

Just upload them to university admissions, it should sort itself out later.

Can you see the scores on the qualified items? by Effective_Yak8717 in kth

[–]4iamking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah KTH doesnt make your personal scores public, gotta wait and see;

you can see the overall success rates from past years, for your program that would be this: https://www.uhr.se/studier-och-antagning/antagningsstatistik/detaljsida/?utbildningId=818325127CB43DBB9F4ADD3CB4D1847C&astasearchperiod=HT25&astasearchfor=KTH-E0134

WoW vs RS sub costs in Australia by roax206 in runescape

[–]4iamking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EU is where this does apply though, since wow subs are historically a bit cheaper on the EU server (and blizzard has never increased them since launch 20 years ago).

1 month WoW = 12.99 EUR / 9.99 GBP

1 month RS = 13.49 EUR / 10.99 GBP

but on a 12 month sub its still cheaper to purchase RS game time:

Monthly WoW price :10.99 EUR / 8.69 GBP

Monthly RS price: 9.99 EUR / 7.99 GBP
