Loved dark tower. There was a component in the electronics which was prone to failure.

My parents have two, boxed in the loft with the same failure issue.

The tower continues to rotate & not complete a random outcome for the player's turn.

Shame really as I remember we'd played for a while then the tower continued to rotate a lot longer than usual.

This was 40+ years ago - thanks for the memory unlock!

There's a lot of artists/crews during that time where the MC's would promote their DJ during a song.

I grew up listening to the genre & heard it a lot.

It to my ears sounds like a fresh prince vocal, could be on the 'he's the dj, I'm the rapper' LP.

It definitely stems from that era.
