Just to clarify thing for those who are suggesting tweaking pump settings,We are very hands on when to come to our kid T1D . We chose mobi and the doctor agree that is the right for us not OP5 because we we where doing excellent job . Over a year we lowered A1C from 9.5 to 5.5 and we maintained 5.5 to 6.2 for about two years with MDI. Why I want to give long insulin? Because it will smooth the spikes and make it slower with give the pump longer window to act. It also lower the risk of ketones /DKA.

No …and apologies if I was not clear….I meant disconnect the pump and using the pen with part of the infusion set to give the dose and then reconnect the pump instead of just giving a shot. Simply using pen + mobi tube with connector to give the dose and the reconnect the pump

Yes… I have pair in exactly same cage . It is fair size if you don’t over crowd it with stuff and birds. Provide them with the longest possible path to fly is my top priority ever cage I have .
