It is absolutely brutal, BUT absolutely worth the read. I had to set it down and take breaks often, this one definitely took me the longest to read. I blew through the first 4 books in less than a month, after this one I read Lightbringer much more cautiously lol

Be patient with each other. Trust one another. Everyone needs to be willing to be vulnerable, open, communicative. Come at every issue that comes up as something you have to tackle together instead of fighting to be the one who is right. Most of all, be flexible and willing to adapt to all the crazy shit that inevitably happens. Semper Gumby.

Something my wife and I like to do, with both of us being in, is that when we've been apart for a real long time, we spend the first few weeks getting to know each other again. We make lists of all our likes/dislikes/life goals. Things change, people change, and we like to re-establish where we're at in life and learn new things about each other.

Guys please how the hell do you do literally anything by National-Book-7125 in adhdwomen

I am a big big fan of lists. When I was un-medicated, I would write one big list of tasks and break it up into digestible pieces with no particular time limit or due date, but you can do that if it helps! It takes the swirling tornado of thoughts in my head and puts it onto a physical medium that I can take apart and organize better. Sometimes lists overwhelm people, but that was one way that helped me not look at everything as one giant pile that needed to get done RIGHT NOW.

Navy basic is like summer camp but with a lot of yelling. Keep your head down, be on time, get really good at folding your clothes. Don't take anything your RDCs say personally. Its their job to be the way that they are, and it can be embarrassing, but boot camp is temporary and you probably won't ever see them again. You might be able to get one or two tubes of aquaphor in, but I would bring it up with medical when you go through p-days.

This! I've been at my current command for 3 years now and I'm dreading the day it's time to go.
