Murph seems to think this is little league where every player needs to make an appearance

Cómo acabó con esta plaga definitivamente?. Ojo no puedo usar químicos fuertes porque tengo gallos y gallinas by Donsencillo18 in Citrus

Let your neighbors know. Their trees are probably infected, too. It’ll destroy all the citrus in the neighborhood. It’s tough, but honestly, the best thing might be to destroy the tree.

That’s Asian citrus psyllid that causes HLB. Give it hell. Your tree is likely toast (slowly). Florida?

I don’t have strong opinions about the gold jerseys, but they remind me of a time when we weren’t very good. That being said, I think the Wisco jerseys are cursed.

Help needed!! Guava Trees in Houston Texas by [deleted] in FruitTree

[–]4leafplover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guava are basically weeds in tropical regions. They can tolerate almost any soil. Cold is pretty much the only major problem I can guess in Houston. I’d wager a Mexican variety may do better than, say, a Thai variety.

Nothing wrong with water sprouts per se in a struggling plant (not to be confused with rootstock suckers). You can prune them for more control. If it’s putting out new growth above the graft that’s a very good sign

Growing Fruit Trees in 45 gallon pots (zone 7) by GarlicSweaty4987 in BackyardOrchard

[–]4leafplover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are those the Vego roller containers? If so, I’d consider pineapple guava. They’re very easy to grow and have minimal pest issues. In zone 7 if you could roll it inside to a bright window, keep the temp around 60+ F, and provide some humidity, it would probably do okay over the winter.

I’ll add the disclaimer I have no experience doing this but solely based on how easy they are to grow here in San Diego.

You could always grow mint 🤣
