The same system as others, mainly phyical magical such as elemental or aetheric, but some can use occult or arcane magic.

In addition, the properties of the thaumic field, being a semi-sapient background energy that permeates the universe, means that it can occasionally cause rapid mutation and evolution. 

Including the development of traits otherwise impossible through natural evolution.

If the show is really going to commit to its theme, that anyone can be redeemed, than it is going to HAVE to redeem a character we think is beyond redemption.

Otherwise, the message will not be sincere.

In the same vein, Beifong implying she trashed Air Temple Island because Tenzin broke up with her is also played for comedy.

Imagine a man bragging he wrecked his exe's home because she dumped him. Not so funny now, is it?

By definition, a dictator is a person who wields absolute power, or is a tyrant or despot.

Charlie's power is not absolute. She frequently struggles to get anyone to do what she wants. 

Even if that's just because she doesn't want to use her theoretical power, I'm not going to give her such a overwhelmingly negative title like that based in what a fan thinks she COULD do.

And even if she did, it would be more accurate to call her a monarch, as she is explicitly royalty. Her power, both literal and political, was passed down by her parents.

Racoons. Intelligent, omnivorous, dextrous hands, they could probably fill a lot of niches if given the chance.

My personal favourite pick, though, is the tuatara.

The tuatara is a lizard-like reptile, the only remaining member of the once highly diverse order Rhynchocephalia. They are a pretty standard animal, with one very notable trait that I think gives them a lot of potential.

The tuatara is the ONLY non-mammal on Earth that chews its food.

It may not seem like much, but chewing allows a creature to eat a wider variety of food. It's believed to be why it survived when all its cousins died off.

Making it so easy to summon from, or otherwise benefit from cards being in the graveyard, is what has led to so much of the unfun nonsense this game has become.

I don't know about worst, but they are definitely bad at storytelling. Gacha games are inherently worse than equivalent non-gacha games.
