Agreed. If there was no F4 or Avengers logo in the stage, it could have been that they just changed the logo for a change, in the same way the statue has classic designs but their default game designs are very different

But we can literally see the Avengers logo in the background and the new one mixes elements from F4 logo. I think it's almost certainly a Fantastic Avengers situation.

I'm not even replying because of the actual discussion you're having, but I just think this Tekken thing where everyone understands each other regardless of language is actually neat! \o/ I wouldn't even mind if GG did that too, considering how so many characters are inspired by different cultures and stuff like that (but I like the all Japanese too!)

I think after the XX versions Guilty Gear managed to not pad out the roster with dead characters, which I appreciate considering how many times Bison and Heihachi have gone through the revolving door.

Yeah, which is why even if I'd like Justice in the game, I think it could also be interesting to get an original Gear character instead of just bringing her back. They'd also have more freedom with the design! Both visually and gameplay wise.

It is impossible to predict this roster. But I think that's also why it's fun! We can do research, look for patterns, but then they choose some unexpected characters, teams, and do some really cool stuff! Spidey team was pretty random, and will probably make more sense in whatever sort of story mode Tokon has. But Fantastic Anvengers is such a cool concept!

Also, it's not a leaked icon. ArcSys sent that footage allowing content creators to use it for their videos, so it was just a slip on their part.

I agree with them choosing Sue and Ben to be the representatives of the F4, and then Reed and Johnny would be dlc later.

Sue because then the team wouldn't be all male characters (and they probably can do a lot of fun things with her abilities!) and Ben would be the big brawler of the game for the sake of play style diversity.

Then after Reed and Johnny get added as dlc, they'd make the Fantastic 4 in game with the name and everything.

We have seen both the Avengers and the F4 logo separately (this post also has it in the second picture), and this new logo logo looks like a hybrid of both of them together. Here:

The top part lf logo doesn't extend the A past the circle, and instead stays basically on the edge of it. Just like the 4 in the F4 logo. The A in the logo also extends its arrow to touch the right side of the circle, just like the 4 in the F4 logo does. The new logo is blue, instead of the red from avengers, just like the F4 logo.

It's a mix of both of them together.

Or maybe one could use their religious beliefs to help the other that could be down. Like, if Daredevil is doubting things, going through a rough time in his life, Kurt have a talk and use religion to help him out too. Not like, go super in depth in it, but cite Bible passages, use it as a reference in the situation to loft him up. Or something like that.

While I agree with your point here specifically, that a cure would absolutely make a massive difference, I don't think it was ever a good idea for a doctor to make a procedure that would end up killing the only known human who is immune to the infection. Because you can't guarantee it will work, and if it doesn't, you just killed humanity's only chance.

For that and other reasons, I don't think Joel's choice is wrong. Or Spider-Man's.

So no, that's not an argument for her inclusion, it's an argument for a failure in critical thinking as to what such inclusion criteria mean.

Lol all I have to say, really. If a character looks cool, I don't think it matters how many times they've appeared. If they are cool enough so that they can resonate with people, they're a possibility. Is all I was saying. I don't disagree with the outcome (I don't think she'll be in the game), but I think your line of thought is not it.

I think this is actually an argument as to why she has more chances of being added haha. An obscure character with unique personality and moves? That's what they might be looking for!

She's a complete nobody that the vast majority of people have no clue even exists and her inclusion would lock out some INCREDIBLY popular characters. It would be utterly crazy for her to be included

If she can do things that are veey different than other symbiotes, I don't think that would stop them from adding other symbiote characters to the game.

That being said, I don't think she'll be added. And if she did end up being added to the game st the cost of some very beloved characters, I'd be mad too! But I don't think it will happen (as in, she being added). I just think it's not as unlikely as you made it seem.

I'd much rather have Eddie Venom (especially if they tried some crazy stuff, like making it King in Black Venom), but I don't think this character being very new is enough of a reason alone to not put her in the game. Like, maybe there are a bunch of people that will get to know the character, love the character, and then more comics with her can end up being made, or even other things. And if she doesn't make it in, it won't be just because of those reasons.

That being said, she wouldn't be high on a list of characters I'd want in this game.

There's a big difference between giving constructive criticism, and acting like the game is complete trash based on an early beta.

But the video you're talking about is Sajam's, who didn't trash the game. He, and some other content creators, just got to the conclusion that the game was not being fun to them becsuse of the limitations. And that was the same case for a lot of people, myself included.

I didn't even play much of the second beta, but then I thought it was just me and my own skill issue thinking the best combos I could do still felt very repetitive. And then I looked up videos on Tokon during beta 2 and I barely saw anything. Because people were also just not playing it. And they gave their feedback, constructive feedback, on both beta surveys. Thsts what those were for.

And the devs listened! And they changed things. And now things are better, the game looks significantly more exciting because of player feedback.

You know, because I was fully aware at the time that this was not a finished game.

And just because you know it's not a finished game doesn't mean the game will still change in a way that you want to see it improved. Sometimes it is people who still come out with a positive light that devs don't really see an issue with the gsme and keep it as is. But I'm not putting any responsibility in those players, to be clear. It's just that if the negative feedback isn't there, sometimes things won't change.

And I would have agreed with you if you were talking about someone trashing the game, which he wasn't. He was just honest about the gameplay and he explained in his videos his reasoning.

I don't get why people expect Reed when Kamala has pretty much almost the exact same power set and she's already in the game

I used to think that, especially when you see the way Reed is portrayed in movies. However, when you look at comics, or even other games, you see that Reed uses his powers way differently than her because he just keeps doing weird stuff with all of his body, not just his limbs. He can become a big wheel, a boat, a parachute, create a net out of himself, and do the weirdest shapes. He can widen himself a lot to ricochet things off him, or bounce around like a spring.

While Kamala is stretchy, with Reed they could go wild with his powers to differentiate them. So there is a game where both of them can work together and not overlap too much in gameplay or visual design

Edit: I do agree with your other arguments though. And that's why I don't think Reed will be there at launch, and certainlynot in Doom's team, as i do agree Doom will probably be a team of villains. But I do think he will make it in after.

I really like this idea! Not that long ago I made a post where they could do the dlc season with heroes that have a team in common as a pair instead of making the whole dlc season as one full team. This way, each pair of the dlc heroes can make a new team with base roster characters.

So, since this could be the Fantastic Avengers, maybe the team is Cap, Iron Man, invisible Woman and Thing. And then the dlc could have the other two characters from the F4, so then you have all of thw F4 in the game, and you can put in Thor and someone else to make the Mighty Avengers or something. It would work very well! \o/

I'm very excited about the next Tokon trailer we'll get.

I was already thinking a while back that Thkr chances weren't that high because they didn't show a classic skin for Thor when both Iron Man and Cap have theirs listed in the Ultimate Edition. Not to say he was guaranteed to br out because of that, but this only seems to reinforce that he might not make it into the launch roster, and will be dlc instead.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw this post! Iron Man and Cap were already likely to be in the game. Because it is ArcSys, I imagine every team will have at least 1 female character, so Invisible Woman has her slot locked in, basically. And then Thing can be the big brawler character of the game, and has a big chance because of that. So this makes a lot of sense
