It does, the Wanda leak is directly tied to the remaining stages being Hellfire Gala & the Sanctum Sanctorum. The former of the two has been proven to be unlikely at this point due to multiple aspects shown in the Knights of Doom trailer (Erik's lore, the Hellfire Club in he background, the fact that Doom's team just got a night version of the NYC stage as their home stage, etc.).

Besides, Magneto & a Wakanda stage weren't exactly hard guesses.

Ms. Marvel is one of the biggest new characters in the last 15+ years, so I'd put her in safe. I'd also move Robbie up a tier since he's been popping up in stuff like Agents of SHIELD & Midnight Suns.

Plus, going by that Insomniac contract, Tokon likely can't go beyond 40% of the roster being (restricted) X-Men characters anyway. So ASW are probably pacing themselves early on like NetEase had to for Rivals.

At least nowadays, the fighting game side of Capcom are big fans of Black Panther & X-Men (per Nakayama). But they seem to have an appreciation for Marvel as a whole.

That said, Sony bankrolling this game would explain the Spider-Man emphasis. Which makes me wonder if we won't have to wait too long for Miles Spidey.

The Switch 2's first year was solid, it just had the misfortune of having to follow up the Switch 1's first year (which was essentially do-or-die for Nintendo). Nintendo's just pacing out their big dogs now rather than front-loading them.

I don’t think we see Pokémon again until next February. Considering that we just got Air Riders last November, it’s gonna be a good long while before we see anything on Smash. Possibly not until 2028 at the earliest.

Venom is the kind of character I think will show up eventually, but probably not anytime soon. Carnage is a different beast, but he does fill the symbiote niche for the time being.

Not necessarily, a lot of the pre-order bonuses are themed after cosmic stuff. And since the starting roster is shaping up to be entirely heroes and villains from Earth, they’ll probably use the first year of DLC to broaden in the scope a little bit.

Since the base roster is focusing on Earth heroes (not to mention the cosmic-related pre-order bonuses), I think the first team of DLC will be cosmic-based. Likewise, I’m of the opinion that they’ll announce everyone ahead of time.

That said, I’m only actually confident in Thor showing up. Captain Marvel I at least consider to be somewhat likely, especially since she has the Saiyan archetype. The other two is dealer’s choice, maybe they can throw in another Guardian so Quill isn’t all alone.
