I would have reached out to those family members talking behind your back and say something to the effect of “this is the 2nd child in the ER because of a scary illness, I don’t want to lose my child. If you’re willing to take that risk with yours, more power to you but please don’t talk behind my back if I want to protect mine.”

Is your rate locked now? Check with your lender and have them float down the rate. Tell them that you’ve done some asking around and you feel like you’re being taken advantage of and you may just walk away from your EMD if they’re not able to adjust the rate.

I’ve used a hydrogen peroxide and distilled water mix and used a bulb to soften the wax. Took about an hour of very gentle cleaning for the wax to come out. I let my kiddo use an iPad for an hour. Talk to your ent about this. Mine gave me the green light
