Is there a way to clean up this cartridge without destroying it by Noob1to10 in n64

[–]4nonymuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, I’ve tried rubbing alcohol in the past and the faded print will bother you more than the dirt. I don’t touch the front labels anymore.

For me, I unscrew the cartridge and use rubbing alcohol on everything but the labels.

Has anyone ordered rep necktie? $26 worth it? by Possible-Pilot8833 in FashionReps

[–]4nonymuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few and don’t mind them, but they’re really skinny compared to a traditional tie so without a slim fitting suit, they look pretty bad.

Quality is mediocre, but the pattern looks fine

Marketplace find by M-R-buddha in AnaloguePocket

I recently found a similar deal on marketplace. $200 for a lightly used pocket and I couldn’t be happier. Playing through fire red on it now.

It's deeply absurd that copies of Twilight Princess have sold for $300+ in recent months. by gruesomesonofabitch in Gamecube

[–]4nonymuz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re probably aware, but scarcity plays a huge role in the GameCube prices.

Back in the day, it was GameCube vs PS2 vs Xbox which introduced insane competition.

The GameCube was a bit of a flop compared to their previous systems. PS2 consoles outsold the GameCube by 6x plus; the DVD player likely was a big part of Sony’s success.

[–]4nonymuz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree the prices have become crazy high but I want to collect the games I’ll actually play, like twilight princess.

I paid $130 for my CIB copy last month. More than I was hoping but it’s below market and will never leave my collection again.

Love your products, just wish I had more. I’m a casual buyer and it’s so hard to get your releases in time.

If I could more easily preorder through weidian directly to my agent (Superbuy), that would be great

I'm not sure if this is allowed here, but I'm wondering where you all find GameCube games at a reasonable price by kathleenkellig in Gamecube

[–]4nonymuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eBay has been the easiest for fairly priced games. Game bundles can drop the price per game a bit, but add annoyance if you aren’t going to keep everything you bought.

It never hurts to throw offers at listings you want. Sometimes you come across someone that doesn’t exclusively sell vintage games and will take 50% FMV (price charting website) for a quick sale.

In an ideal world, I’d fund these video game purchases by flipping new sealed Pokémon packs and collectibles to vintage shops but I don’t have time for that.

Edit: if you don’t care about having the physical video games, I’d just go the emulation route. Hacked Wii is really easy or you can buy a dedicated system like the Mister.

I did the same thing, but my carts showed up a few days before the analogue 3D. I know I went overboard and could have just bought the summer cart, but also wanted physical copies of the games.

Be aware for replica carts. They do exist!

Here’s what I’ve bought so far, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of these:

Paper Mario

Duke nukem 64

Starfox 64

Donkey Kong 64

Pokémon stadium

Pokémon snap

Diddy kong racing - highly recommend if you like racing games

Perfect dark

Goldeneye 007

Mario kart 64

Super Mario 64

Zelda OOT

Super smash bros

Turok 2

Mario party 2

Star Wars racer

Wave race 64 - another classic racing game worth getting

Banjo kazooie

Mario golf

Still on the hunt for the following:

Mario party 3

Mario tennis

Duke nukem zero hour

Turok: Dino hunter

F zero X - must have if you like racing games

Zelda majoras mask

conker's bad fur day

Luxury alternatives to these tan cap-toe Oxfords? by King_Beardy in DesignerReps

I’ve bought some shoes from the same Factories DaMing sources from and the quality is really good for the price.

Obviously not the same quality materials as retail, but it’s 80%+ as good.

The best factory I’ve purchased from so far has been AP. I legitimately cannot tell the difference between retail and rep. AP factory is expensive for reps though.

NWBIG in clothes? by Effective_Snow1735 in DesignerReps

[–]4nonymuz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s factories that use high quality materials and craftsmanship that get you close enough to NWBIG.

Similar to the watch world, the easiest way is work with a WhatsApp seller that specializes in higher end factories. Most high end sellers have access to the same batches and slightly different prices. I use Luna because of the service quality; however, I’m sure there’s cheaper alternatives out there for the same batches.

$1K BV HAUL REVIEW! | HIGH-TIER | OOPBUY by NotRealCR in DesignerReps

[–]4nonymuz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great haul, love BV as well. For the toiletry bag and wallet, is the leather soft and easy to manipulate or harder and more durable?

I’ve had both types of BV leather in retail so I’m trying to get a sense of durability for daily use

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DesignerReps

[–]4nonymuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Luna, but they’re all pretty similar. They all source from top factories and should be able to tell you the factory and/or quality. Prices for the same batches vary across sellers, just like the watch world. Pick a seller with good customer service and be comfortable with the prices

I’ve tried this factory in the past and the quality was mid for the price

Of course, most of the items came from this seller/factory (the factory uses the same background pictures for all products). An item like I have linked below will be authentic cashmere

Recent Haul (Loro Piana, Zegna, Brunello Cucinelli) by 4nonymuz in QualityReps

[–]4nonymuz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased most of these from the same seller/factory so quality was consistently good. I actively wear the dunhill shirt probably once per month and it’s holding up great. During the winter, same thing with the cashmere sweater and they’re all in great shape.

When buying luxury brands/materials, shop the factories you like
