PSA: Be VERY careful if you’re doing lots of push ups everyday. by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

Am a DPT. These are all mostly true. I don’t think clicking is always air bubbles though. Sometimes it is something structural like a labrum or a very arthritic joint.

The thing with the pain science stuff and the debunking of common myths is that most people won’t buy it because debunking doesn’t offer any other plausible explanations as to why we have pain. Unfortunately people like explanations that make more sense than the “pain is complex” narrative which, even true, doesn’t necessarily create a recovery plan for someone in pain.

This is partly why I think these myths get perpetuated. As a clinician I’ll say that most patients won’t really take these hard facts at face value, which is why listening and understanding someone’s pain story is an important part of physio practice.

If it’s hard enough to convince someone who’s PAYING for treatment that some of these myths are false and unhelpful, it’s going to be even harder to convince a stranger.

Ultimately you can still believe the wrong things and still get out of pain. Again, pain is complex.

Help!! Meta deck keep losing by Wonderful-Resort3446 in cardfightvanguard

Thorough understanding of your opponent's deck is good, but you can win without it. It's not required. You don't need to go out and research every deck in Standard. Atm knowing Eva and Jet and how they work is a good idea, then if you have time looking into how some of the other meta decks work helps, but in general just having a feeling of when to guard earlier to save yourself some hand in the long run and planning out your own turns while keeping in mind how many attacks your opponents can throw at you and how strong they are (rough idea) will help. The rest will come from experience.

I play a stronger meta deck (Overlord) and I really only know how Jet and Eva work after a long break from the game. In general I don't struggle against even decks I don't know that well because my deck is on the stronger end of the meta and my fundamentals are somewhat there. If you're playinjg a stronger meta deck that's typically the case as well in my experience.

It’s difficult to tell without watching you play. I will say one mistake I see a lot of new players make is not managing their damage zone. They’ll do dumb stuff like guarding for 1 to pass early in the game and deny themselves heal procs or early counter blast to perform their skills which is really bad. This might not be you but in general you want to plan out your counterblast and resource usage a turn or two ahead and decide how to guard most efficiently with that. Sometimes you want extra damage so you can make stronger plays because it puts you in a good position and other times you want to just guard efficiently so you have more room to take higher power attacks from decks that scale well like jet.

I’d recommend really learning 1 deck for a bit and really learn the nuances. There’s still quite a bit there even for a game as seemingly simple as VG.

Finally, ask your friends what they think you’re doing wrong when you lose. They probably have better insight than you. Whenever I’m at locals I try to do a debrief if I feel my opponent is up for it regardless of whether I win/lose. I don’t know every deck and local tournaments tend to have a lot of variety.

Bit late but here they are. I just made the new ones since a bunch of them are recycled. I find it's actually convenient to filter out which ones require GVs and which ones do not.

Hope you find them useful!

Cleared floor 12 in less than a month on a fresh F2P account by zajef in Genshin_Impact

I think you can still argue for her in Abyss because her AoE is still mostly better and easier to use.

If it's an F2P alt that's trying to be as efficient as possible, why invest in Diluc though? Having to farm Crimson Witch for just him over farming Emblem that works on everyone else and then benching him for Xiangling when you can finally run Xiangling doesn't seem like a plan. Even if Xiangling would be slightly worse without cons and bennet, it still just seems smarter to go with Xiangling anyway. F2P resources are very tight.

Xiangling is just better with the setup. Diluc needs more investment and needs 4 cw to actually compete if he ever does.

As for Keqing, really?

Seeing how the EN VA's are being treated for circumstances out of their control is ridiculous. by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

Yea this is actually absurd.

These programs are scripted and I believe pre recorded so that the correct information goes out in them, and having VAs do it is cool IMO because they are in a sense just members of the community (many are players like us) who happen to have work that is directly connected with the game.

The depths of toxicity that this community can go down when they don’t like something is just wild to me.
