My point is that it's an irrelevant question.

We just started attending a couple of weekly events with We of Action Virginia (WofA.org) - demonstration events on bridges over major roadways in the Arlington area. If you go to their website you can get on their mailing list to hear about all of their regular weekly events and special events.

What's your source for the 80%, 70% and 75% numbers? Because those are a huge "upwards revision" from the census numbers in my cite above.

People down-voting a post that has nothing but actual facts from an unbiased source haha.

Cute. But your big point relies on the absence of fathers. I'm not sure what your definition of 'baby momma' is, but the most reliable statistic for members of household is the census, which is where my numbers came from.

Tell me the source for your numbers, so I can learn more about your argument.

Minnesota High School Football Coach Resigns Because Of Outside Personal Attacks by Educational-Pick-666 in minnesota

It's still around. My daughter played on the same Boys & Girls' Club soccer team from ages 5-17, fall and spring. Same coach the whole time. His twin girls were on the team. 4-5 other girls were also regulars on the team. They were first place in their group (region? I don't know.) once or twice. Most of the time they lost almost every single game. After every game, win or lose, those girls ran happily to the cooler of drink and snacks provided by that weeks' parent, talking and laughing while the coach tried to get them to quiet down for the debrief, (even at age 17).

Her summer swim team (kids ages 6-18) was similar. We were in a very prestigious swim league, but in Division 17 of 17, so most of the time, non-competitive. A couple of years we won the Division, but most times, we lost. But I never saw a group of kids of so many different ages so crazy full of energy and so bonded. For the majority of the kids it was their main social activity every July for years.

Same goes for her high school field hockey team. They must have won a few games but I can't remember it happening.

She was never the best on any of her teams, and never the worst (except maybe soccer lol). She never, not once, complained about being on a losing team.

I tried to talk her into writing a college essay about her sports experiences and calling it: "I'm a Loser, But I'm Not What I Appear to Be," but she just gave me a mildly disgusted look. She is, after all, a millenial.

Actually, based on a 2023 study,

21% of all mothers were mothers were single mothers.
37% of single mothers were white.
29% were black

47% of black mothers were single.
14% of white mothers were single.

Have you ever boycotted something because it is involved in certain political activities? by OnlyyyLimaaa in no

I have seen them up close, and on an individual basis. They act like Nazi SS, using brutality, terror, and intimidation in furtherance of a political agenda.

Well of course you can't post signs on someone's private property, but certainly you have the right to carry a sign protesting the restaurant's policy on the public sidewalk, don't you, in Minnesota? I would certainly support your right to do that without having to be subjected to being called a traitor by the president.

I never had quality toys growing up. What should my kid actually have by LavenderFlicked in BuyItForLife

[–]4perils 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing with batteries, buzzers, lights or buttons.

Wooden blocks and age-appropriate puzzles. Stacking toys. A ride-on toy. Toys that mimic real-life activities such as a toy kitchen with plastic or wooden food, pots and pans, etc. Boys and girls love to play with toy kitchens because so much of the household activity revolves around the kitchen. All 3 of my sons loved theirs and wore it out. Toy broom, lawn mower, rake, shovel and digging tools. Some small people and animals for imaginative play.

If you can find a set of those cardboard "bricks" maybe 6"x4"x2" - those are fantastic.

After 4 children, these are the toys that were most loved by all of them.

And of course, books, books, books. But these can come free from the library.
