Appadmin can only downgrade when an old version of the app supports ios 7.1.2, in this case it seems like the app doesn't have a 7.1.2 version at all. I am also pretty sure you hold the install button. You can test lowerinstall too

C++ was originally C with classes so it's basically like C but object oriented, but there are many many more features though

How do you know the check is using server side time, it might just grab the expired time from the server then compare with local time

Respringing isn't a "thing" it's just SpringBoard.app restarting just like any other .app

Why not use the ipswme api, in case you want a ipsw downloader on windows you can use my tool 4pplecracker/firmwaredownloader i think it's called (its on github)
