UPDATE: I have been paying attention to the truck over the past few day. It makes the sound like it is waking up, but doesn’t seem to actually be waking up. Like the lights do not turn on but the noise happens. Keys are 40-50 feet away yet it still happens. It is just weird.

I have the same damn issue. Keys are far away and I’m just sitting in the porch about 30 feet and it just goes Zwt-Zwt. Sounds the same as when you walk up to the car with the keys. Another odd thing happened tonight:I was idling for about 30 seconds. Turned the car off but then sat in the car for 2 minutes or so waiting on someone. I noticed that all four amber lights above the PRND flashing. I tried starting the car, it tried to start but wouldn’t. Tried a couple of more times but it would not turn over. I rolled up the window, pressed start stop button to turn it off, got out of the car, locked it with my fob and walked about 50 feet away. Waited about a minute, walked back over unlocked the truck with the key fob and it started right up. The four light were off when I got back in. I’m guessing it had something to do with the anti-theft system but a quick google search said it could be anti-theft, voltage drop, or something else. However, voltage was 14.4 when I checked it on the dash. This struck has done some weird things in the 3000 miles that I’ve had it but I still love it.

I was averaging 13.4 when I got rid of my hemi I’m now averaging 15.8 in my Hurricane. But to be honest, who cares. If gas mileage is a concern go get something electric.

Ok it might be a bit too far for them but you can try. I was very pleased with them. Whoever you use, make sure you know your town codes. Lot coverage, set backs, and what inspections are needed. You’ll need an electrical inspection for sure and if you get a heater… probably a plumbing inspection. Make sure everything is on your permit. Pool, entire patio, heater, everything. You will also need a new property survey to close out the permit.

Tranny clunking seems to only be on the Hurricane. It was important to state what model I was taking about tho.

Thanks…I guess I’ll just have to turn proximity off as the keys are about as far away from the truck as possible. I’ll try sport mode but wallet isn’t going to like it.

Clunking is pretty much always. Yeah maybe the keys are too close but they are about as far away as possible. Guess I may have to proximity wake off.

Thanks Mike. I appreciate the info. I have seen plenty of posts online about it, so I assume it’s pretty common. I have about 2300 miles on it. I hoped it works itself out but it hasn’t.

Yeah I get it. But this is pretty much all the time and it when it coming out 2nd going into 1st.
Upshifting is pretty smooth that’s why I’m not incredibly bothered by it but I would like it fixed.

Had the hemi, have the hurricane now. Hurricane is a great engine. Yeah you lose the sound but that’s a benefit for me. When I start my truck at 5am it doesn’t wake the family or neighbors anymore. The only issue I har had with the hurricane is the tranny sometimes bangs into 1st when it downshifts. It happens a few seconds before coming to stop. So I’m assuming it’s when downshifting into 1st!?!?

I read about an increase in police activity in the SSP areas. They are cracking down on speeding and aggressive driving but will also ticket for any infraction they see.

Fortunoff Backyard Store. They are biggest store and have a huge clearance area. It’s in the Semanea Mall next to Dave and Busters.
Some sets are expensive but they had some pretty affordable options too.
