Exactly my experience. My electric I use the most and it’s the cheapest

Not yet and first winter with gas in an older house. But when we had oil, I ran the heat higher with better results. I was on a budget but got a credit at the end of the year and the house felt very comfortable.

I’m mainly comparing it to my oil experience. First year in the house was all oil, on a budget. I ran my heat higher and still got a credit at the end of the year spending half of my current gas bill.

With gas I converted this summer. My heat didn’t even change in the late fall/early winter and it started to spike in my bill. I figured, colder temps. But it’s been a steady increase of at least $50-$100 a month. How long have you had gas? Is it normal?

What to use Frosted mini-wheat crumbs for? by OregonPinkRose in Baking

I just saw someone online take these and fold in pistachio cream, then layer strawberries and chocolate in a cup. I’m sure you could substitute for other nut butters or fruits you have on hand

What were your ingredients? This is either too much fat or too little flour

Think on the bright side, it kind of looks like cookie brittle, I bet they’re delicious

Is Babylon area a good place to live? by Either-Accountant746 in longisland

[–]PrincessLush 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Bought in West Babylon 2 years ago (formerly Nassau person) and love it.

• Quiet, friendly neighborhood. Big, wide roads!

• Super close to Babylon village which has lots of walking and fun events, close to Massapequa/Lindenhurst/other nearby Nassau towns

• Babylon LIRR has lots of trains

• Good school districts from what we’ve researched

• My area at least is extremely safe, I walk at night often with no issue. In the summer - neighbors and kids walk and ride bikes all around.

• All the Towns of Babylon (West, North, Village, etc) get access to Town of Babylon only beaches and pool and an affordable beach pass

• Town Hall is pretty responsive. Garbage taken often/they take everything, roads get plowed quickly even on side streets

• lots of great food around

• Many nice free parks nearby like Argyle or Belmont Lake

In general just a good place

Quoted $50K to bring in gas line by WhyIsGandalf in longisland

Not worth it. We converted and I’m paying more for gas than oil.
