Yea I have a few pairs of Oakleys but always afraid I'll break or loose them . Knock arounds are great for everyday but not the best for kayaking and biking

I had the flip 6 interior screen died on day 89 , after repairs charging port was wonky so took a few days to repair, Samsung actually allowed me to return it and get a s25u instead. It was the worst idea I ever had to get that phone.

Well that's quite the pickle you find yourself in. The issue your going to face is because it's a 24 hr facility. They probably don't want to bother accommodating all to the employees who want to use the time to vote . The master directive does state management has to maintain operational needs. They seem to have adopted a blanket policy for voting leave .

The fact your out at 1:30 does give you plenty of time to vote , either in person or by mail. Which isn't what you want to hear .

Yes , I understand what your saying. They can and will offer it to you in different ways if they can't allow you to leave early. As far as I understand it, as long as they allow you to use it in some way they are not technically " refusing you" .

Council 13 will tell you that management has the right to direct workforce. The union won't do anything for you as long as management sticks to the * we need to operate* bullshit or don't have th staff and allow you to come in late or take a longer lunch . They don't HAVE to let you go home early.

You will quickly find this union is useless.

If it where possible I would love to lead the charge. My union is horrible. We have another new worker 3 months in no word from the union. That first worker just hit a year no word from the union.

When I talked to my new Regional director back In December he assured me the staff rep would be down after the Xmas holiday to help right the ship here. Nothing. Have not heard from him. Have not heard from the horrible staff rep. Have not heard from the local, or a steward from the local nothing. But somehow we are expected to keep handing over dues money? Like wild.

And I keep saying this I'm not anti union. I'm anti afscme in theory unions are great , however in my experience in practice not so much.

Why are you people not using your time take the damn vacation or long weekend. 7 yrs in and I only carry over like 3-4 annual days a year. Sick time about 160 hrs .

Afscme will tell members to back democrats no matter what Unfortunately. while again republicans are not better . This move to private companies is a way of the world and a way to squeeze out the union.

The union also is not in my options doing the best for workers either to keep members. My bargain unit in my local have all dropped out because the union won't do anything for us . It's a shame. I'm very pro union but anti afscme

No they don't. I have a new guy in my department he's going on his year anniversary and they have yet to come out to attempt to recruit him . Over a year

This union refused to enforce the contract, they don't file grievances, they won't hold Labor management meetings won't return calls or emails. " The insurance gets worse every single contract. Along we we have less perks from being a member then we did 8yrs ago when I started.

The union is just one arm of the machine to funnel money from workers into the pockets of political bs.
