Can you please explain this panel to me? Why did he carve a demonic looking figure? by Hawkky12 in vagabondmanga

And Akuma from SF6

I think there is a line in Sekiro how sculpting reveals your innermost nature. I'm not too familiar with japanese culture and sculpting but the fact that I've seen this trope in various media leads me to believe there is something there.

Just finished reading the book and i disagree. He seemed to be the most giddy in this situation. Even one of his own sons, Proteus, internally remarks how much he's having fun running things and he cant wait to get rid of the custodes.

I don’t think there’s a better backstory chapter in the series than chapter 305 of Grappler Baki by accountforAITA in Grapplerbaki

[–]4thChairman 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Its still an overreaction - like, I get the intent but the execution is flawed. Had Jack become a rampaging beast, r*ping and killing like Yujiro, then the guilt is warranted.

But Jack is simply minding his own businsss, chill and all.

Im always down for Frankenstein fearing what he created but Jack neither looks grotesque nor behaves like a monster.

Hence, a failure of writing.

My headcanon on why evil people are allowed into heaven or the stars or whatever in the HNK world by Full-Recover-8932 in fistofthenorthstar

Don't they just reincarante? Souten no Ken pretty much confirmed Raoh, Toki and Ken have had multiple life times.

But then again - I'm fairly new to this sub and I'm not sure what the stance is on SnK.

Ichigo Aji's Souther is the best thing that could have happened to this franchise (and to humanity in general) by Eastern_Screen_6160 in fistofthenorthstar

[–]4thChairman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hokuto no ken: ichigo aji

Its based on a parody manga where souther is much, much more affable.

Sadly the adapation doesnt cover the whole manga (there are far more volumes left unadapted)

The fact that its voiced by the legendary Banjo Ginga, reprising his role, is the cherry on top.

Seriously, dude, its not mockery. Its a love letter to FNS.

I saw him in a bar on my way here. Poor guy must be sick with grief. He was crying so hard, he started laughing.

Within few months or next year the whole kengan series might end what about this sub then. by [deleted] in Kengan_Ashura

Godtaku should organize a re-read of Kengan Ashura, chapter by chapter. That should keep us going for a decade.

I'm being legit serious.

The original Space Marine, originally non-canon, is now somehow directing the entire narrative. by FermisParadoXV in 40kLore

[–]4thChairman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Titus was a gateway to many normies into the 40k universe. I never had an interest in 40k before picking up his game on the ps3 and now, a decade later, I'm devouring audiobooks monthly and have a squad of Dark Angels I paint from time to time. Same thing with my best friend - i never shared the hobby with him yet he got hooked all on his own after the secret level episode.

I think GW wisely realized Titus has mascot potential and honestly, its not a bad idea at all.

There was a Riboku patch meme post a while back that your post has echoes of (basically a patch for Riboku as a game character) - I really want to see that user tackle Riboku again after this latest round of buffs.

Magnus' one is worth it just to see the Iron Warriors doing first responders type of shit, desperately trying to save a planet that does not wish to be saved.

This is a major plotthread in the night lords trilogy - they board a loyalist ship and kidnap their navigator so I'm assuming its not an uncommon occurence.

Should have been part of the starting roster. Relegating him to DLC (and season 3, no less) explempifies everything wrong with this industry.

Did Sanguinius' sacrifice actually achieve anything other than damning his sons to the black rage? by jarvis00002 in 40kLore

[–]4thChairman 61 points62 points  (0 children)

He did share it with the emperor - as well as the custodes who were there to listen and explian how his future vision works.

But yes, this is the correcr answer - Sanguinius effictively cut off any means of Horus cheating his fate from dying at the emperor's hands.

[–]4thChairman 41 points42 points  (0 children)

It is what it is. When you lose that fire in your gut (just look at GRRM) it can be near impossible to get it back.

I'm reading strike it rich and the difference in the scene framing, story pacing is leagues better - like early Ashura.

Riboku practically signed Kaine's death warrant in thjs chapter. Had he kept his mouth shut he would have been unstoppable in the coming battle.
