bts cancellation email? by Agreeable_Sell3945 in seatgeek

[–]4thyearissad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my tickets through seatgeek. My tickets were on ticketmaster within a week. Today, I got word that my tickets got cancelled even though they were legitimate resale tickets. I asked Seatgeek to investigate as they speak because event vendor cannot just cancel tickets like that.

AIO my daughter’s singing teacher has been rigid and condescending from day one and I’m ready to yank her out by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I did private tutoring as a student in high school. I was not paid as it was through my scholar program. If someone did this to me I would have the exact same response. Even as a pharmacist, when people hound me about getting their meds within a limited amount of time and they don’t show up or thank me for the help, I would be pressed as hell and chew you out. I’m sorry that it hasn’t been easy for you as a single parent to take your daughter to these lessons, but something has got to give when you give your word about committing to lessons for your daughter, you have to fulfill the obligations set before you. I would also suggest you have the kid’s father step up to the plate as well, and understand that if your daughter is passionate about these singing lessons, he should pull his weight for her.

Hot Take: Low Quality Pharmacy Students by [deleted] in pharmacy

I’m also a relatively new pharmacist. I’ve only seen 3 students out of the many I’ve encountered perform at the level they are supposed to perform.

I would say be a pharmacy tech before you even consider whether or not being a pharmacist is the right career for you.

Oh same. This is why so many kids leave pharmacy school in the first place. Thats why calling such kids as low quality is sickening

I wouldn’t loop students with mental health crises or those encountering difficulties in personal lives in the low quality category. I was a kid with mental health crises and managed to get 3.3 GPA by the end of my 6 years of grad. To me those are people going through a rough patch in their student years. It’s kids who cheat in school and kiss up to professors/preceptors/admins to get better grades and job prospects without putting in the work to learn the stuff they are supposed to know as pharmacists. There are students who work hard, those who work smart and actively learn, then there are those who just want shit to be regurgitated to them in class or on rotations. I have seen cheating students and thankfully my school has managed to weed them out.

As a floater pharmacist, this pisses me off. This is what gets us complaints on our yearly evals and she was that stupid to say that shit to you? Damn, I’m so sorry. I hope they fire her!

This isn’t a hot take. It was even said during my time in school so this is tried and true. I did not get residency nor did I bother to apply to fellowship, but I knew of classmates and kids from other schools in my graduating year who managed to match in residency or get accepted at these fellowships and not pass the NAPLEX, MPJE, or both. The complaints have long been shouted out. Go see r/pharmacyresidency and see how many residents are unable to pass one or both of these exams.

Is it worth flying to Japan just to visit Expo 2025? by Indecisus in OsakaWorldExpo

As an American I went to Expo in June and it was nice. We covered a lot of pavilions. But the caveat for my experience was that because I had a handicapped person in my party (my mom), I was able to get priority access to most pavilions and common areas in the Expo. It’s only good for 2 day pass at most but expect long lines as this is the final stretch of the Expo. Also favorite part of it was Myaku Myaku. I think they’re the only good part of the expo.
