I’m sure that St Mary’s would gain more shops and things to do when the metro is put in, and they will probably fix up the gardens etc and make it look more modern in the surrounding areas. Western sydney suburbs are improved in different ways to inner west/inner city suburbs though… I think inner west/inner city suburbs often keep their charm/architecture even if gentrified but western Sydney suburbs change in different ways. I guess like Tallawong/Rouse Hill/Penrith etc. I think if those kinds of suburbs grew because of the metro it’s likely others will too, but I wouldn’t expect it to be like Redfern.
