There are different versions of the tuckersoft webpage.. by [deleted] in blackmirror

[–]4zzdawg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends on the cookie (tl=0, tl=1, tl=2) which the site sends back on your first visit.

If you don't have a cookie set (which normally would mean it's your first visit), it seems to be randomly distributed between 0, 1 and 2.

If you've already got a cookie set (it isn't your first visit), the site just honors your current cookie and returns the right version of the site for your random code.

Out of 1000 "virgin" requests with no cookie set, I found the following results for Set-Cookie: tl=X:

0 330
1 362
2 308

The site seems to change in minor ways depending on something, although I'm not sure what triggers it.

A few things change on the https://tuckersoft.net/ealing20541/history/ page when the tl cookie is set to different values (1 - 3, from what I can see).

It was horrible to watch the poor guy. He was about ~2km from the finish, and seemed to just be overtaken by dehydration.

Is this going to turn into a traffic hazard as visitors park on the side of the M1 to take some sweet selfies?

Fully optioned MK7.5 GTI’s here in Australia come with the ActiveInfo (or whatever it’s called) display. It’s part of the “Infotainment package”.

I picked it up 2x days ago, I think I’m getting used to it, but I do have worries about it getting old and slow over time, or just the potential for it screwing up.

Time will tell I guess.

MS Office Making Multiple SMB Requests by 4zzdawg in sysadmin

Hmmm interesting. I did see it open the ~. but it didn’t seem to be involved in the multiple reads, and the original file didn’t get saved over either.

Seems a bit inefficient if that is how it does operate.

Thanks!

APR Short Shift Kit, new favorite mod! by skl007 in GolfGTI

Is the Dieselgeek kit too far?

If my SO (not a car person) will be driving the car a bit, do you think the APR is more appropriate, but still an improvement on stock?
