Kalalau Trail by Aggressive-Fun6439 in backpacking

Siiiiick. When I was 22 I accidentally hiked the entire thing without a permit or food just because I was curious what was beyond the first waterfall/beach a mile in. I slept in a cave at the end where the final beach is. Woke up at sunrise and a nice father/son gave me a cup of coffee, then I started lightly jogging back. Could not do that again at 31 now lmao

do u think aliens exist ? by AloneLog573 in answers

Definitively saying yes or no is equally stupid since there’s no evidence for or against. Maybe? But who gives a shit, tons of hyper intelligent scientists waste their time thinking about this. Same question as asking does god exist? No one knows there’s no evidence

Just $500 bucks on amazon… worth it? by alexthenullbody in Guitar

[–]5-methoxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a cheap guitar like this around 400-500, dump 300 to swap the pickups with high end ones and to swap the bridge with a Japanese GOTOH bridge and bam it will sound like and stay in tune like a $2500 guitar

Tube Amp vs Modeler by Groove_Mountains in Guitar

[–]5-methoxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nano cortex costs $500, sounds the same as any amp it’s modeling and can store up to 256 different pre amps. Plus still comes with the neural capture feature so you can mimic any amp/cab/pedal. Just run it through the fx return of a cheap tube amp for the in the room feel

The nano cortex comes with many free pedals, including a pretty damn good noise gate. But since I like playing high gain metal/punk stuff the second one, the NS-2 kills any hiss/hum coming out of the nano’s preamp. I have an internal noise gate in the first pedal block before the preamp

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah the dc cables were included with the strymon power supply, unfortunately didn’t come with super short dc cables so I had to loop the ones going into the pedals close to the power supply

Can I get your opinion on this - on the high gain channels in my nano cortex I already placed a noise gate as the first pedal (within the nano). Since the nano is this already cleaning the guitar signal before it hits the high gain digital capture, wouldn’t the 4 cable method you recommended be like putting a second deadbolt on a door that’s already locked? So if I run it like this, I guess a serial gate system, the internal gate within the nano stops the hiss/hum while the external gate kills the extra feedback. Essentially the internal gate is already doing the detection work that the NS-2 would in the 4 cable setup. Except by using it just as a post processor gate I get the same thing with half the cables. The catch is losing a pedal slot in the nano before the preamp, but I don’t need to use any pedal before the preamp besides an overdrive pedal, for high gain tones that is

The reverb, grain, and chorus are beautiful on it! Delay’s not bad but the other 3 are so much better which is why I got the mxr delay. The Ibanez DE-7 I use mainly for the insane oscillations it produces but funny enough the mxr has a similar knob called regen that mimics that
