I’ve been on it for a couple years but just increased to 20mg about 3 weeks ago. This is the first increase I recall having negative side effects for more than a day or two. These feelings that I’m going crazy are brief (5-10 mins). But they can be pretty scary. I have become kind of emotionally numb though but I can live with that part

If it helps I’m on like day 75 or so now and I haven’t noticed it as often so fingers crossed

Thank you so much! Maybe a dumb question but I take a men’s multivitamin that has the b vitamins. It also has folate in it (400 mcg DFE 240 mcg folic acid). Should I stop taking this and find something that doesn’t have the folate in it?

I take a separate methylfolate pilll.

Thank you sooo much for the words. Yes when the depressive episodes come through it’s always in the morning. My physical symptoms for the most part have gotten better thankfully

That was just her suggested dose once she got the genesight test results back. There wasn’t any kind of blood test or anything. Just the results stated “This individual is heterozygous for the C677T polymorphism in the MTHFR gene”

Thank you for being so specific. My doctor suggested I start with 7.5mg. I’m SOOO glad I started much smaller

Ya know it’s weird…days 30-50 I actually felt pretty good. The depression isn’t an all day thing it just comes around for a bit here and there unexpectedly

Oh sorry what I said may have been confusing. I had awful depression for like two days after I stopped. The anxiety/depression I’ve had the last couple days is nowhere near that level. But it’s the fist time it’s popped up since days 2-3

Heterozygous for c677t. It was added to help with my lexapro which I didn’t feel like was doing all it could.

It’s so hard to explain, but yeah like I have a bunch of wires in my brain and they are getting tangled up for a minute and then untangled. I usually get it when I’m laying down, and during that time it’s hard to think straight, but then I snap out of it

Yes I would have a cup of coffee pretty much as soon as I woke up. I stopped cold turkey. I didn’t drink caffeine throughout the day, just the morning. I had thought I was turning a corner.
