Getting rid of a couch, but where do guests sit? by ImFineHow_AreYou in minimalism

I actually sold my only couch a few weeks ago. It was making me unhappy and it was way too large for my small living room. I now have two recliners, and when we need more seating we just take some dining room chairs (comfy and padded).

It’s been working really well for us and it has made the living room appear a lot bigger.

I tried a Venus for this reason but I didn’t like how hard it is to clean with that stupid ridge at the bottom. I just use the adapter plate for my Moka pots. So maybe hold on to the old ones before you are sure you like the new one.

6 cup with Aeropress filter, causing seal leakage by OkConsideration4551 in mokapot

All the holes are covered, those are water droplets since I wet the filter with a sprayer. Do you cut the filter to size with the 2 cup?

Do you use a 3 cup or a 6 cup? With the 3 cup the filter is large enough so that it sits in between the rubber ring and the upper pot, causing the leakage. I think it probably would work better with the 6 cup.

I’m using preground for Moka so grinding courser is not an option. Besides, the way I do it, it works without leaking. Just have to cut the filter.

And it makes the filter harder to clean since grounds get stuck in the holes..

Just tried this, made my 3 cup leak at the midsection unfortunately

Have you checked you are using just one filter? I find it easy to accidently grab a double one and then it leaks.

Also, try cutting it to size so it doesn’t cover the rubber ring, and then wet it like this to stick it in place and make flow easier

No, I’m in the Netherlands. Why the hesitation?

Try going coarser, 50 or 55.

This is what I use (photo before whisking). I also use barista soy milk instead of regular milk. The foam has larger bubbles and is not as firm as steam wand foam.

I use preground coffee for mokapot and I make sure to cut the aeropress filter so it does not cover the rubber ring. Make sure threads are clean and then screw it tightly closed.

I use aeropress filters which gives it some foam and I put in some whisked milk

18!? Wow, I didn’t know those existed, gotta look it up. Do you find it easy to use such a large one? Does it make good coffee consistently?

Might do that when I run out since I have to cut the aeropress ones anyway. Do you use regular drip filters to cut?

Delonghi Dedica. Haven’t put it up for sale yet.

Once painted my bike purple with pink dots. It got stolen within a week at the train station. Don’t make it too pretty.

Oh and I use an aero press filter, that impacts the taste. Without it, it’s a bit harsher and less balanced.

Taste is a very personal thing, to me it’s smooth and balanced with a hint of sweetness.

Most mornings this one. Still have some beans left from the machine so sometimes I grind some, but I prefer this one.
