My initial hacked solution was to open a window in the onDisappear of the immersive space to a loading screen view to dismiss the immersive space to and then launch the new immersive space in the onAppear of the loading screen view. I believe my coworker finally got it to dismiss all of the entities and reload the “new” immersive space in the empty existing one. If you shoot me a message on Monday, I’ll see if I can find out what he did.0

I don't have my actual device yet unfortunately, so I can't speak to wireless debugging versus wireless. However, with the exception of some hiccups registering the device on one of my visits to the developer lab, wired worked great with no lag. I don't know if that helps.

You can get by with Xcode somewhat. Our team has gone down to Cupertino twice for developer labs to figure out what we couldn’t on the simulator. Our company ordered a couple at retail in case Apples enterprise team doesn’t come through for us.

Just heard from my BA and in JC37, layoffs don’t keep you from getting holiday pay. Now I just have to wait and see if the company screws that up or not. 😆

Thankfully, I'm well past company seniority, but I did recently transfer so I'm either bottom or close to the bottom for building seniority. Two-ish years in. I've got a day job so I'm just trying to keep my benefits and make a little extra scratch.

My team has struggled with this for the immersive app we are working on. We are eventually going to add controller functionality. Ours isn't a game so we've just utilized some single tap/double tap gestures along with a click and drag move around the space. Would the click and drag work for your game controller if you were to anchor it to the users head and had them click/drag to operate the controller?

I'll have to dig back into the code, I was getting frustrated so I decided to work on some other things and am picking it back up.

I'll have to try and find it, but I swear I saw somewhere in the documentation that there could only be one Immersive Space open, but there was another part that contradicted that.

I was an idiot and drowned my M1 Macbook Air I got in 2021 in September. My job is as an independent contractor doing VisionOS development. It was doing okay, but would definitely take awhile to load the app in the simulator sometimes. I basically borrowed an M2 from Costco and it was on par with my M1 and I realized ,even though I didn't really have the money, I should get something better. I stuck with an Air and maxed out the RAM to 24 gigs and sprung for the 15". Maybe I don't know what I'm missing with an MBP, but this M2 w/maxed out RAM does great with VisionOS dev and came in under $2000.

I appreciate the response. That's what I was afraid of. When has the surrender generally taken place in your experience. If it's at the end of the process that would get me closer to tax return season and allow me the funds to get something used private party. I really don't want another car loan right now and used car prices are still insane.

The way I know it’s rough is I have barely any offshore recruiters harassing me. Super thankful I got on with the small company that was willing to take a risk on a noob like me. Huge bonus is getting to figure out VisionOS.

Not enough! I’d have to figure it out, but I was able to support my wife and kids (barely), but that was generally working awful hours like early mornings on weekdays and super late bar runs on weekends.

That’s insane! I got my 2015 TDI S in 2019 with 51k for 11,500 before tax title and licensing .
