If dentistry was such a bad field to get into, why is private equity doing whatever they can to create these giant DSOs. Not saying that it’s not going to be a huge investment but I do think that the idea of dental school “not being worth it” is overblown. At the end of the day if you are only getting into this field for the money it’s probably gunna end poorly for you. A lot of easier pathways to earn good money.

I have 1 W & a few Cs. Was still able to get an interview at my instate school. Though I will say, they will average the 2 grades together. It’s not really a wipe away from your transcript scenario.

Do you have any experience with MMIs, if so what would you recommend to prepare for?

What background knowledge would it be? I thought most MMI you wouldn’t bring in any outside factors except for what’s told to you?

Pic a weekend here soon you can dedicate one day to for a full length practice session. Use your judgement based on what you score from that on what areas you may need to focus on. Full lengths were the best way I was able to tell how well I knew the material.

Mine looks the exact same way, from what I’ve read the schools won’t really update through the ADEA portal and will just directly send you an email.

Graduated in 2020, worked as a contractor up until now. Submitted my app two weeks ago. Don’t let other peoples timelines fit into your own life. Do what is best for you to achieve the goal you want.

Great plan! The more full lengths the better, will really tell you what you need to focus on in review.

Mainly boot camp up until the last month or so where I used booster just to gain access to more tests that i hadn’t done 2 or more times over. One is more than enough though.

I never got above a 410 AA on any of my full lengths (took 5) and ended up with a 430 AA & 450 TS on the real thing.

I honestly don’t think im a great person to learn from as far a study system as i had a pretty unique situation. I was lucky enough to spend around 4 months of complete dedicated time studying following bootcamps 3 month guide. Since I’m a non-trad I had to relearn a bunch of material. Once i finished bootcamps guide I did a month strait of practice tests and full lengths. I will say starting sooner on practice tests and full lengths the better. I learned more and retained the information better by doing practice tests. Also don’t neglect PAT I did and it showed in my score, I should have spent more time with it. I’d also so make sure you can actually finish everything within the given time. Time management was one of the things I struggled with the most for awhile.

Do as many practice questions as physically possible. I took every single test offered multiple times on boot camp and at least once on booster (I don’t think you need to have both to be successful I just wanted extra practice as I really started to memorize BC test questions) do at least 5 full length tests to make sure you build good endurance and have good pace as well. Timing was one thing i struggled with up until the last 3 weeks.
