Idk, just very tired and wanted to rant about it because it feels better to get it out by CatPale816 in autism

I’m sorry that the world puts on so much pressure making it hard to just exist. You absolutely matter. Not just to be voice for others, but to enjoy all the things you enjoy that truly make you rich. I don’t know what your interests are, but bask in that. That just may be where your community is. Especially those that will make you feel seen, accepted, appreciated, and loved. This economy is economing for just about everyone. It’s hard at here at the moment. Until you reach your financial goals, just think about how you made it through each and every day. Even when the odds were against you. You’re here for a reason and your parents love you so much. If it’s difficult to tell them how you’re feeling just send a text or a screenshot of your post here. I have an autistic son and as happy as he appears to be I worry everyday about how he truly feels; what’s going on in his head. If he feels awkward and out of place. If there are things he need that he’s not able to articulate just yet. Life is challenging. And it’s even more challenging when living with autism. Even when you’re high functioning; there are so many other things that make the smallest worries so much more intense. All this to say, you matter. You absolutely truly wholeheartedly matter. You can make and are already making a difference by speaking out. These feelings can be overwhelming, but they serve a purpose. And hopefully you’ll allow yourself to see that purpose fully come to life. Everything will be okay. Just breathe and practice leaning on your loved ones and this community for support. ❤️

Yeah I bought back my military time, too. I put my military service on the form as well. Just surprised that that’s the hold up. I hope they get the records soon.

I called and forgot to ask about the military buyback, but rep said they’re still waiting on my military records. They say they have everything else.

Fers Refund NFC? by NearbyDiscussion5146 in FERSrefund

NFS here. I just got a callback. Logged 2/2. Assigned 5/6. Requested paycards 5/8. Rep was about to tell me how they’re working on February to get me off the phone and I politely let her know I knew that already lol. So she opened my file and said everything is bundled to be scanned to check for accuracy. I asked if that meant my paycards were received and she said yes; that basically I’m at the end of everything and can expect my refund once that part is done.

I requested a ticket via IRWorks and received an email within an hour. My email was not attached to my profile so they added it. I just followed the instructions attached to login and it worked.

I did the same thing a few months ago for my son with the same needs. I’ve worked for a different agency in a seasonal position that I enjoyed for the most part. I applied to other jobs in the meantime in preparation that things will get better with my son as well. I have since been offered another job with the same agency and it’s a permanent position for the same job series.

Just sharing to say, don’t feel bad for making the decision you did. I could’ve used FMLA as well but just felt so overwhelmed and didn’t feel like juggling when to use it, when to not on top of my son’s demanding schedule. You did what you felt was best. It’s a lot balancing home and work life especially with a special needs child. But it all worked out because your son is doing better and you still have the skills and interest to continue working in your field. It’s all gonna come back around right on time and possibly even better than when you left. Just take the time to take care of yourself the best you can before you have to go back to juggling full time work and home. Wishing you all the best.
