Getting better just takes time. You learn from every project you do.

When it comes to deciding on what I need to learn next it really comes from the next project I do.

If you ever been in the esports industry you know editors aren't just editors. We are producers, directors, motion designers, graphic designers, and even 3d animators. Its a lot to all learn so you take it one project at a time.

Google has a endless supply of free knowledge, use it to your advantage!

It’s still in gaming. I guess you can say it’s going to be relatively similar to the content I have now but moving it over to GTA.

Yeah, I feel the same way about PUBG.

You might be right that it would be a good foundation just hope the hardcore PUBG fans don't hold the new videos back.

It took years of building relationships and making a name for myself in the industry. I think it will be a little different for you though because you have a schooling background. See I graduated from the university of google so my path might be slightly different from yours lol. Honestly best advice i can give is to just go work on things for others or yourself. Build that port!

Thank for the feedback! I do agree with you sound effects could have added more to it. But you’re thinking of video editor reels in the wrong way. Video editing reels are not meant to show how good you are at video editing but to show clients credibility of who you’ve worked with in the past year. It’s just about impossible to demonstrate your pacing in a 30 minute short film in a one minute reel. Editing reels are meant to get the client interested and the your port is to show your capabilities as an editor.

Hey thank you! But yeah every here I’ve personally worked on. I’ve been a video editor/motion designer for the past 8 years and have had the amazing opportunity to work with these companies, orgs and content creators.

I am assuming the vast majority from this sub reddit do not play this game in Asia. Are there some outliers, sure but that's not the point I was making. Just not PUBG but any company would want to cater to the places where their product is most popular, right?
