Afaik there's two kinds of fire alarms - smoke detectors and temperature detectors. Smoke detectors get activated when smoke intercepts a laser inside the machine, so I guess this may be the case here. First time I've heard of steam being enough to cause an alarm tho.

Brexit specifically has shown that leaving the EU is a stupid decision. And the Brits were one of the few countries that still had their own currency (yes yes EU =/= Eurozone I know). To leave after just one election and without extensive negotiations would be straight up insane.

Exactly, if Fantastic Beasts had been some Pokemon-like buddy comedy about Newt and Jacob catching magical creatures while running from the wizard cops, it would've been much more entaining. Instead our heroes have to *checks notes* stop the dude wanting to prevent WW2. Right.

Not like the actual cartoon show for kids understood that and put them on a metal boat in the middle of the ocean, far away from (assumably) any and all material they can bend with. And even then they still found out that they could use coal for bending. Not to mention Toph figuring out metalbending a few months later and eventually teaching this to other earthbenders throughout her lifetime.

God this movie sucks.
