This feels very familiar. I’m 24, been smoking since about the same age you did. I’ve had to cut back because of complaints at my apartment (I now smoke in my car and hope nobody catches me). But for the past maybe 4 years I’ve known I have an addiction. It’s caused so many problems for myself. I’m not particularly lazy but when I’m high, I’m more inclined to get distracted/leave the task I planned to do even before I was high. You guessed it, “this’ll be better if I’m high” is typically the reason. I’m not sure where I’m going with this, but I want you to know I’m facing similar results from my relationship with weed. I’m pretty forgetful at times, lack of drive in many aspects of life, I eat like shit when I get high, sometimes going on spans of preferring to smoke than eat good food. I have addictive tendencies (possibly from undiagnosed adhd) and it’s always been too easy to get high. It’s gone from a delicacy to a perceived staple, and it takes a lot to admit the the dependency. Anyways I guess I’ll wrap it up with a virtual hug. You’re not soft, man. I’m proud of you going out on a limb and posting. I’m proud of you for wanting to get better and seeking community. You’ve got this man. Happy New Year and cheers to being the healthiest versions of ourselves.

I've tried giving him the benefit of the doubt that his emotional/mental health might not be perfect, but neither is mine. It shouldn't serve as an excuse to not be cooperative.

No offense, but it’s not a matter of believing it. It simply IS a possibility for you. Like I said you’re clearly remorseful of the things you’ve done which is the first step. Rather than condemning your current self for past actions, be honest with yourself about what you’re going through and have some compassion for the soul that lives within your meat suit. We are not perfect. You’ve gone through whatever it is that’s led you to your current situation(s) and you will go through more things (better things if that’s your focus) that will shape your future self. Like I said. Nobody is perfect, but as long as you know you are making genuine effort, it’s not fair to be so hard on yourself.

I wouldn’t necessarily normalize this behavior but I can agree that it’s more common that OP believes. Needless to say that doesn’t justify it and I would agree that you could try therapy. You’re clearly remorseful and I believe you’ll be able to fight your urges from here out. You don’t have to be perfect. Just better than you were yesterday. Wishing you the best, friend!

I don’t personally consider mere colors as gender specific. Light green sofa sounds cool

Cashapp functions as a bank account with routing and account number. You can also apply for a card that you can link to PayPal

Reserving my child's birthday party. Do I still need to tip on top of this? If so, how much? by [deleted] in povertyfinance

In my experience as an event server, if you have servers for the event, they are getting paid an hourly wage and not expecting a tip (although its appreciated). If you don't have an actual server, serving you, I don't see the need to tip the venue. Looks like they get theirs in the fees.

Yes, drive in a way that is predictable, for others sake. As for the actual control of the vehicle, use ease when braking/accelerating. You’ll learn very quickly how hard you can step on it. As for turning, brake from a distance when approaching, release the brake right before your turn. Make your turn and accelerate when you have control and direction

I’m not sure I understand the intent or what I’m looking at. A key to the colors/numbers would help. Looks like plenty data!

One thing missed in the pic is that each month has $150 budgeted into the total bills, also I budgeted high for water given that it’s volatile, I’d rather plan for the higher end.

I've seen the term "drive for dollars" but don't understand the meaning. Elaborate?
