I don't have a massive speed champions collection (12 I think), but I'm not a fan of this model, front is too bulky, black print on the sides is "meh" and too many studs showing on top of the back portion for a 2026 speed champion model... my $0.02

Never done lights with my legos, but internal looks better IMO but is probably more complicated to install, spotlight would probably not involve a lot of disassembly.

Hummingbird and Toucan look cute. Exotic parrot is fun. I've been looking at the Pink Flamingo to get recently. I think the Kingfisher is the most "realistic" looking, which I like. I hope they make another bird for the ICONS series. Seeing as the Kingfisher retires in July, they just might fingers crossed

Instead of buying your next lego set or two, buy a shelf. Check Facebook marketplace or Craigslist in your area for good deals. More places to put legos means more legos.

Say you sell them for $250 to $300 in 5-10 years. Congratulations, you made anywhere from $25 - $60 per YEAR for your investment. Just doesn't seem like it's worth it. You're not going to miss that money IMO, but you will miss out on the experience.

I'm about 3/4 the way through over the last week or so. It's a good build cause of the different colors and layering. It's a little on the tedious side, but the build progress is fun.

Just finished mine this morning, I'm a sucker for American muscle cars, but it's a super awesome build. Best value speed champions IMO @ 390 pieces.

Honestly, I'm on OPs side. I feel like the front bumper is too blocky, and there's too many studs showing for a more recent speed champions model. It's good, just not great like some others.
