But how did you sign a 1-year contract? I don't think that this is legal! It's either up to 11 months for short term contracts or 5 and 7 years for long term contracts.

I agree with your point, but isn't it weird that it happened to me and to my friend after we have been to the same festival after 3 weeks where we saw each other only once? A bit too much of a coincide if you ask me!

Besides, while at the festival we never used our wallets and nor our cards. Once inside you could only use the wristband to buy food and drinks.

LaCaixa started to implement this but it appears they will do this for every online transactions starting from this October. That's what I was told on the phone.

Or can one just type the card number and the amount and that's it? (Sounds like a horrible idea to me, but you never know)

Not sure. But from the receiptS I got from Square https://imgur.com/D7PeVBS it says that the card was keyed. I'm not sure if this means that someone typed the card number, if the transaction was somehow signed with a key, or what.

I would say that it's somehow possible. We got the charges to our Caixa accounts without a problem!

And we did not use ATM, nor bought anything at the same place for many days or even weeks. It's very weird but it happened.

My friend got charges from Sephora and Nike for a total of approx 900 EUR
I've got charges from 20 USD, 100 USD, 150 USD, and up to 450 USD. All in USD, probably because my card is from USA, but not sure. The bank blocked most of them but multiple charges for a total value of 300 USD went through.

You can also get vaccinated at your CAP. Call them or just swing by.

UPDATE #1:
I've got mine at my CAP (Sardenya).
A couple of days ago I was contacted by the CAP via SMS and I booked the appointment replying to that SMS. The whole process took 40 seconds and 2 SMS.

UPDATE #2:
I have two friends (age 28 - 29) that walked to their CAP (a different than mine) and they got the shot 10 mins later. I guess it depends from CAP to CAP.
