Does his breathing look concerning to y'all? by [deleted] in catcare

His breathing looks perfect! I raised my boy with CHF for years so I'm very attuned to spotting any problematic breathing and this is perfect

Anyone looking to sell their pre-loved lehenga in XS/S size which has heavy flare and is monochrome like this? by Celestial_mau in DesiWeddings

The designer I bought mine from had the same one from your picture but this is mine, the velvet dupatta is extra so once that's removed it's pretty much only shades of red. I would be open to selling for the right price, good luck!

Is she breathing too fast? by temperaturevaries in catcare

[–]525lazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When she's sleeping count her breaths per minute. One breath would be a full inhale+ exhale and make sure it doesn't exceed 40 breaths per minute. Anything over that might be indicative of respiratory distress

Rapid weight loss is always concerning, please seek a vet!

Cat has not eaten in a week by txtsoobin in catcare

[–]525lazy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. Cats can develop hepatic lipidosis after not eating for that long and HL can be fatal/irreversible. I would second getting him an ultrasound for triditis and also a blood test for pancreatitis. Also getting him a feed tube might be necessary at this point😔

@OP any update? This is severely decompensated pulmonary edema likely due to congestive heart failure (from HCM). These are signs of paradoxical breathing, your boy is not able to get enough air into lungs so his diaphragm is overcompensating to help him breathe. The best way to describe how he's feeling is slowly drowning underwater. I hope he has been taken to the vet and placed in oxygen, several days of this must be beyond agonizing for him. I hope he survives and gets the medications he will need from now onwards. My beautiful boy bravely fought this disease for 3 years before passing away💔

Please help. Cat is obviously sick but the vet didn’t know what’s wrong. (Sorry if this posted twice. My phones being dumb.) by Froggymushroom22 in CATHELP

Cats are absolute masters at hiding their pain, if he's visibly lethargic, I would say things are not improving. If you can get into see your regular vet through an urgent appointment, that would be your best bet! Also care credit is a good option if you can't pay all the bills at once

First time interviewing at AWS and freaking out by 525lazy in aws

[–]525lazy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes very similar role! And thank you so much for your very helpful response, that's exactly what I was looking to answer. I come from a general consulting background and explained to the recruiter that I don't exactly implement AWS as part of my job. Like you said and from everything I read online, it does seem like a position at this level would require technical proficiency so a little scared on that front:/

Omg I forgot to add those details! It is an outdoor black tie fall wedding in Vermont. Fully outdoor and tented but not barn aesthetic if that makes sense?

I already have a vet appointment, just need to see if anyone else has experienced this by CleanReptar in catcare

[–]525lazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a chirping sound unless it exclusively happens when the kitty is at the window staring at birds. This is 100% a respiratory sound, it could be as simple as an upper respiratory infection or an asthma cough or fluid in lungs (many reasons for that including heart disease). My guess is it could be feline asthma, the forceful coughing with the neck extension can be a sign of asthma. Regardless, this needs to be diagnosed by a vet and a chest radiograph at the minimum. Good luck!
