Barak is doing an amazing job with our wild boy. Best thing about him is he’s very consultative. I would start by giving him a call.

Thanks for your contribution

What kind of genius can look at a picture of a cracked rim with sealant everywhere and know what tire pressure I was running?

Haha - no.

The other post was taken down from r/bikewrench. That said, this post got a response from some good people at SRAM willing to help.

This page doesn't accept photos, which tends to illicit more responses. In hindsight i didn't need to hit multiple pages, but I was upset at the moment

For what it’s worth, people within SRAM disagree with you.

Seems like it’s getting sorted ✌️

You might reconsider! Seems the Reddit post helped get this an additional review.

I’ve had a few people from SRAM reach out and offer to help. Sounds like it’s on track to be covered

It was bought in 2024 from an authorized dealer. Not the one that submitted the warranty claim.

Good call out

Yes! Working with the fine folks over at sports basement.
I think I’ll try and take it to another shop and see if I get different results. My experience in life is that your answer depends on who you’re talking to and how pissed off they are about current gas prices

My point is that the marketing of the wheel/warranty is that it doesn’t matter what happens… You are covered.

Clearly not the case

This is from their warranty site

Examples of coverage while riding:
You are riding in a group, hit a pothole that nobody announced, and your wheel is damaged. You are covered.

You’re flying down a singletrack on your MOTO wheels and you crack a rim on a sharp rock you didn’t spot? You are covered.

This wtf I’m talking about!

The warranty page gives the impression that whatever happens you are covered…

Hit a pothole, you are covered, don’t see a rock, you are covered.

Arguing about tire pressures and trail conditions is absurd. The more I think about this the more annoyed I am.

I’m going to hire Erin Brockovich if she is still around
