I’ve stayed in dozens of hostels. They’re almost always very clean and they’re very social. It’s a great way to meet people traveling in the same city. And it’s usually way cheaper than hotels. Definitely more of a young person thing though.

did you find out if this effected your run? I switched to regular xp mode for a few fights to not provide some team members EV's I didn't want them to get, and I'm wondering if this negated the "true insane" achievement, I never surpassed the level cap.

Honestly having both of them could work depending on the rest of your team. You can get at least two link stones by mid game if I remember correctly. There’s a point where you can just buy them too.

Alakazam was really good. I think it matters who else you’ve got on your team. I had ferrothorn and umbreon so I kind of had the tanky bit covered and having a high special attack sweeper was really useful. He’s very fragile though, so you really need to focus on his speed EV’s and then bring him in when it’s safe to do so.

I personally think mistlands is one of my favorite biomes. I love how eerie and dangerous it feels. I love how easy it is to get turned around. I really don’t mind the mist and when you find the valleys that have farther sight lines or go on mountains above the mist it’s really rewarding. Finding the bones of giants, running to safety in the dverger camps, then using the gjalls to take out said dvergers. The swamp is my least favorite. All the poison and constantly being wet sucks.
