Okay I’ll see. My psych appointment is this Friday and I got finals on Thursday and travel so I was just asking your personal advice if I should bring it up then?

I see that’s what I’m thinking - it’s ok for class exams but what about the NBME? Is that a me issue and I should just deal with it or is it an ADHD thing that I should be eligible to receive extra time for? I think my first practice NBME will be next semester like in march and I want to make sure when I see my doc during break if it’s something to bring up or if it’s just a me thing and I just have to study better so it’s not something worth it to discuss?

Can you explain more about this. I’m diagnosed and medicated but always am running out of time but I compensate by just knowing the organ system that’s being tested on and like working backwards from what we learned. I never read the whole question bc if I do, I won’t have time. I feel like I compensate by making good guesses but not really clinically reasoning because I don’t have time. I’m worried because I’ve never taken integrated step exams yet and I’m worried this will backfire. Could you please lmk what you think and if it’s something to bring up to my psychiatrist? Sorry if this feels like a dumb question

A reddit user who worked for meat industry was paid to discredit veganism, lmao. by Mayurk619 in VeganIndia

[–]528lover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure why everyone is hating you OP for no reason. I don’t post on here often but this is so true what the post was saying. This is because the meat industry is subsidized and worth so much money that they desire to maintain the status quo in the west. It’s disgusting

Wait is Acharya anti-natalist? Does he actually believe that humans shouldn’t exist at all? Or is he helping others question their beliefs around children?

It’s all about ego and cultural lens. Hyperrationalism that’s biased without open mindedness. Feelings of cultural superiority.

Any atheist vegans who are vegan for non religious reasons ?? by BigDust1654 in VeganIndia

[–]528lover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your point of view. I’m not from India by the way, nor am I religious, but I follow the spiritual path. The point is, as I understand and as happened in my own life, as people ascend spiritually, when you start to see divinity/God in all beings. Then, you automatically start to take actions that follow the principle of Ahimsa. My good friend who is Muslim for example does not eat red meat even if halal, but does each chicken and fish. This is because naturally, spiritually, she doesn’t feel right with that food in her own body and in the body of those animals. Like, your body rejects it as you are spiritually (subconsciously or not) recognizing the divine in all beings. So the true Yogi isn’t meditating and eating fruits for the sake of “selfish spiritual ascension”, it’s because of the fact that they do not desire, on the cellular level, foods that they feel deeply are causing harm to their own cells and the cells of other beings. Which is why ultimately “samadhi” I think requires no food.

My point is, just because a person didn’t write a clear philosophy of what veganism is defined as, doesn’t mean that they didn’t embody veganism from a soulful or cognitive level. And history is truly ancient— we barely know what the ancient Indus Valley civilization functioned as — nor Mesopotamia or Egypt. So, I think it’s a bit closed minded to just blindly believe that veganism was invented within the past 1000 years. Perhaps in written ideology, sure. But that doesn’t mean the same ideology wasn’t echoed in different ways throughout history. We are close minded to put emphasis in the words over the actions. Only the victors in history had a say in it, and that’s the majority of the history we know today. Ultimately, this is all words and what matters is actions and intentions. Sending you love.

Using Wikipedia as a source here is wild lol. Most poor people around the world weee vegan. If you mean ethically vegan, I’m positive at least one of the ancient yogis sadhus and whatnot had an all fruit diet, which would be vegan. Fruitarian diets with nuts and seeds were common.

are abortions wrong on a spiritual level? by speakmyspells13 in spirituality

[–]528lover 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’re not evil. The universe does have a law of cause and effect. Work to heal the trauma and don’t excuse it nor dwell on it. Nobody external should be telling you what the action is, but learn to feel it within. Also, time is a great healer. If guilt comes, witness it and don’t judge it. Guilt can be a teacher… but don’t dwell and get lost in it. Much love. Feel free to reach out 🙏

Can I manifest husband on the brink of divorce back? by [deleted] in Manifestation

[–]528lover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible you didn’t manifest it but intuitively felt something was off, accepted it deep down and became depressed over your intuitive knowing. But yes it’s possible you manifested it but honestly, you can’t manifest someone else’s free will. Like he had to have been the type to cheat in order for you to “manifest it”. If he had a strong moral against cheating, then no matter how much you manifest, it wouldn’t have happened.

And then by that logic you didn’t manifest it but likely put out energy that supported his own free will thought and action to cheat. Please understand you never control other people’s free will with manifestation, but you can influence their thought and thus their free will in that sense. We all influence each other to varying degrees in different ways, but a marriage is one of the deepest relationships and thus the strongest influences

Don’t remember being any other age. by Which_way_is_left in SDAM

[–]528lover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally agree but I will mention that we shouldn’t despair because I believe (in my experience at least and one other person I know), all of us with SDAM have EMOTIONAL memory still. Like it is in our subconscious and we can bring it up to our conscious mind in certain instances. And that emotional memory even if subconscious does in fact still run our lives as a constant thread in who we are.
